"I was expecting something a little bit more modern and updated and so my review is impacted by my impression that the hotel is due for a makeover. The electrical sockets were awkward and too few (so we needed to boil our water in the bathroom with the cord stretched over the sink) and the couch in our suite was old and a bit lumpy. We were asked to pay for our two pods of coffee each day which seemed odd to me, and a staff member eventually refunded the charges which I appreciate. We were given a 25% discount coupon to use in the hotel restaurant but it couldn't be used for our breakfast, which is the one meal we would have been able to eat at the hotel given our day trips. The hotel is in a lovely location, lots of nice restaurants close by, and back in the day I am certain it was a lovely and luxurious place to stay. It needs a nice update - and we felt safe and secure and overall it was a nice stay."

"Room was nice but basic, nice breakfast but less options than previous times. Pool area needs better amenities. Front desk staff is great. Breakfast staff seems grumpy and unfriendly or unhappy. Area is very walkable. Overall we will definitely stay again and would recommend!!"

"Nice staff. We should have paid more for a larger room with a window not looking into an air shaft. Pool was being repaired the afternoon we’d planned to use it. Easy walk to the Boquebus. "
