Had everything our family needed. The cabin was clean & had all the necessary camping supplies. We enjoyed being able to swim and fish right out in front of the cabin.
It was definitely a hidden gem, cute place, unique stay, comes with everything you would need! Thank you for hosting us and will definitely be back soon.
The property seems a bit neglected. The lake is quiet and beautiful but the beach was overgrown, weedy and rocky (did not look like the picture). The cabin was quaint and clean but the beds were awful. There were two twins crammed in an L (head to toe) and the second bed was a full at most and looked and felt like it was about to collapse. The bedspreads were a thin polyester that smelled musty. There is no one on site so bring everything you may need. There were some abandoned looking campers on the property as well.It has a lot of potential, but for the I would not stay here again. We arrived around 7pm and left the next morning by 10am despite having a two night reservation. My back could not take another night on that bed. There was a futon and random mattress in the main area to accommodate two more people?Bottom line, it’s a nice location to explore the lower eastern UP but you would be better suited to just camp somewhere. Pictures on website need to be updated. All but one review was from a few years ago, which I did not notice until I was looking back at it after we arrived.
My son and i were beyond blown away with cabin 5. First the outside to sit on the porch and look at only the lake was incredible. The nice decor on the porch and around gave it a perfect rustic setting. The inside was very clean and cozy. This was a great place to stay then travel off each day to Mackinac island or the falls. Thank you and we will be back again!

OK, Cabin
The cabin had a wonderful view of the lake. It had the basic amenities. More situated for a group of adults than a family. No onsite office so it takes a bit for owners to respond. Suggestion for owners to provide some kind of guest book so you know what is provided and what is not. TV was not setup and was unusable. Had an large older grill, not round one as shown in picture, so I was not expecting to have to use as much charcoal and lighter fluid, they did provide a half bag of charcoal and a half bottle of lighter fluid, but the grill was so big it needed a lot to get it to heat up, when I asked for some more they said no, luckily I had brought some with, but we still needed to get more a the gas station down the road. A bit expensive for what you get, in my opinion. There was no can opener in the cabin. Hopefully they will improve with the next guests. It was close to Mackinac Island another benefit.
I absolutely loved this property! It started with the easy, contactless check-in. I walked in and was greeted by a charming living/kitchen area together as the main room. Further in was the first bedroom including a queen size bed which I found to be very comfortable over the week. The second bedroom had two twin size beds, I was travelling solo so this room worked well as my gear room. Everything you needed was provided. Outside featured a wonderful porch, a firepit in the yard and off course the always beautiful Brevort Lake just steps away. On this particular stay I generally had the whole resort to myself, which was perfect for me. I would recommend a stay at this property to anyone!
Very cozy cabin on the north side of Brevoort lake. Had everything we needed for a comfortable, long September weekend (heat and A/C, shower, towels, fridge, TV, fire pit, Wi-Fi and good internet, microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, even a broiler pan for re-heating pasties in the oven). The cabin was very clean, quiet (even in the wind and rain), not drafty at all, and has a great sitting porch that puts you about 20ft from the lake. The lake is great to watch during the day, and the clear sky at night. Didn't see Aurora Borealis on this trip, but have seen them just 7mi down the road in the past.
I highly recommend this spot for whatever your getaway needs are.
