We had a lovely stay at Norman Chapel, it is a beautiful cottage in a very cute village. There are shops and pubs a short drive away and it is quite central for visiting other popular areas in the Cotswolds. We loved the fires and it was very cosy with everything you could need! Thank you for having us!

Our weekend stay
A super sized house, ideal for a get together! Lovely location with lots to do. The kitchen was super, well resourced and very roomy. All the rooms were a good size and we loved the fire. However the front room does need more comfy furniture, too many of the chairs were uncomfortable (feathers!)
However we all had a nice weekend. I would recommend as it was good value for money and a great base.

Norman Chapel
Needs TLC. Fridge Freezer leaked. Top oven didnt work and cooker was very unclean. Carpets and chairs in dining room badly stained. Cleaning company responded well to a problem with the bathroom light.

Lovely cottage
This lovely Cottage was perfect for our family stay, kitchen was large and well equipped.
Great garden for dining and games.
It’s in a small quiet village without pub/ shop but only a short drive away or a good dog walk!
There were a lot of bees entering the outhouse next to patio, didn’t bother us at all but might worry young children.

Lovely stay in a beautiful location
Lovely garden area, ideal for dogs & children to play in. Kitchen & utility very well stocked with every item and gadget you could possibly need. Milk, orange juice, biscuits and bread there on arrival (thank you - nice touch). Beds were super comfortable. Communication ahead of check in was very comprehensive. A lovely relaxing stay and ideal base to explore the Cotswolds from.

Fantastic home with lots of character and quaint charm
Excellent property considering its age. A cosy and super warm feel throughout.
A great location so quiet and yet easy access to other villages. A pheasant regularly in the garden and a cuckoo could be heard!
The kitchen was a great size with all amenities and a useful boot and coat section which was handy for our dog. We had a lovely stay Thankyou.

Nice retreat
Large , spacious with all the commodities , great garden , very well equipped and comfortable cottage full of history .
Things to improve could be a little cleaner , the place was full of spiders and spider webs , the sofa and seats in the living room are a little tired . But overall a really nice comfy and spacious cottage in a very quite and lovely location- perfect for a family / group retreat.

lovely weekend property could do with a bit of TLC
Great weekend with family , cottage in good location ,plenty of room just some TLC required . Bedroom door wouldn't close due to screws missing on hinge , cupboard door not fixed on just slotted in ,unused aerial cable just spread on floor ,downstairs bathroom ceiling got damp mould ,
Old property but damp wall areas need attention there is just lots of small details need sorting , Furniture in there saying fragile do not use ?
Garden great even though winter and secure for dog .

Quintessential Cotswold cottage in quiet village
Beautiful location, convenient for many other Cotswold centres. Very characterful cottage, with cosy sitting room and log burner, and comfortable beds. Property manager helpfully brought us some coffee pods for the new machine, basic food supplies and a pretty Christmas tree. Kitchen very well equipped. Things that could be improved: firelighters and matches for fire, instructions for TV (also very glitchy), one bedroom door hinge was broken so the door had to stay open, and no bulb in a bedside light. All minor things, outweighed by the positives .

good location but poor in cleanliness
The house was big and location very quiet. Wonderful garden.
The real problem was the lack of clearnliness. The furniture and all rooms were lacking a deep clean.
Moreover, I removed 35 spiders during my stay. Some of them quite big, some of them in beds or sofas. I understand it's an old country house but the cleaning process should take into consideration removing all the spiders every week.

Lovely house
Lovely stay in Norman Chapel. Beautiful house. Very clean. Nice welcome pack that we didn’t realise we would get. Really could do with wardrobes, in 2 of the bedrooms, not everything wants to be folded. Some of the blinds are tired. One in main bedroom there was a problem with, goes all the way up or all the way down, no in between. Beds very comfortable. Had a problem with heating but that was resolved quickly. Would recommend.

Fabulous family friendly large cottage with great patio and garden
We loved staying in this very old cottage. It was very comfortable and well equipped and in a great location to visit many places in North Cotswold. We had an 18 month old with us and the garden was perfect for him and the dog! There was an issue with the hot water which was resolved exceptionally quickly following our call. There were several interesting pieces of furniture but I will say having two chairs which were too fragile to sit on, seemed a bit strange, however nice they looked. The dining area was lovely - a nice big table and there is also a nice big table in the garden. A bbq was available which was great.
We loved staying in this comfortable, friendly and interesting home and would certainly book again. No pub within walking distance but some nice ones just short car drives away.

Lovely cottage in peaceful location, in need of a little investment
A group of 6 of us generally had a lovely stay here. Nice quiet village with an hour walk to Moreton over some hilly fields which was lovely. Few things that need some time and money:
> Cleaning - this seemed to be a quick mop and hoover round, rather than attention to detail you’d expect from a prof cleaning service - lots of cobwebs, dust spiders and some general grit/grime in areas around furniture
> Furniture - there is not enough comfy furniture for 6 people in the living room, there’s a very old chaise which is falling to bits and other occasional chairs, not great if you all want to sit round the fire of an evening with a glass of wine
> Log Burners - the information said a starter kit, there was no fire lighters and we had to hunt for matches which were damn, clearly those restocking have never lit a fire themselves
> History - you could make a whole feature of the history of the accom, being a chapel, being converted into a home etc etc but there was nothing, such a shame when it is such a historical building
> Parking - the directions are to park on Vicarage Street, at one end someone has put boulders on the edging of the road so you can’t park there, nearer the old church if you have any car larger than a Audi A1 you’ll struggle to leave enough room for passing traffic, better directions to places you can park needs updating on the info (we circled round in the dark for about half an hour)
Kitchen Equipment - this needs a bit of an audit, there are some random things you wouldn’t usually have like a blender, but then no roasting tin
That all being said, we made it a great weekend and it’s location and size is perfect for 6 people.

A sibling reunion
The Norman Chapel was a perfect location for my husband’s siblings to get together. It is a beautiful property, attractively furnished and well equipped and the garden is perfect for a well-bahved dog with a lovely table and chairs. We’d thoroughly recommend the Norman Chapel.
However, 5pm (we couldn’t get in until 5.40 pm because the previous guests had left such a mess) is too late in the day after a long journey. Most properties have 3pm check-in. We were very disconcerted to discover the bath and shower room do not have locks. A simple bolt at high level would have made our stay much more relaxing. Alarmingly, an attractive painting is just balanced on the living room mantel - we thought dangerous for small children. And the pillows are wafer thin and very uncomfortable and we were giving two hand-towels (unnecessary as there were ones by both handbasins) and only one bath towel between two. For the above reasons I have marked it down on “comfort”.

Cosy cottage stay
We stayed at the Norman Chapel for a week and fell in love with the cottage. It’s a very wholesome place to stay and set within a quiet hamlet of other beautiful homes. It was a perfect location for us to visit lots of what the Cotswolds has to offer. Lots of walks, pubs and gardens within a short distance. There was some maintenance works during our stay in the garden and have recommended to the property manager to let guests know in advance in the future when this occurs.

It was a lovely cottage! We really enjoyed this great location, too!
We have only two small wishes: A better coffee-machine - perhaps a filter one?
Parking: Perhaps more gravel outside on the street?

Great break
The only reason I gave cleanliness a 4 when we arrived the recycling was everywhere in the garden it did get removed by somebody while we was out one day otherwise a great little place to stay, parking can be a problem sometimes. Especially if you have two large cars. But with that in mind it only happened once. It wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Lovely stay at Norman Chapel
We loved our stay at Norman Chapel. The cottage is quirky, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. The only reason why we did not spend more time in the fantastic garden with its large patio was the weather… We enjoyed the peaceful and quiet setting of the cottage which is in easy reach of many attractions nearby. We would definitely recommend a stay at Norman Chapel!
