"We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. "

"Lovely stay in a beautiful house. Had everything we needed for a relaxing family break. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Bed linens all lovely, great selection of games, we especially enjoyed articulate. Challaborough itself has a beautiful beach, great for morning stroll with the dog. Can recommend for a relaxing break with fresh air, gorgeous views and then a lovely snug house time back to."

"Lovely hotel, lovely room, friendly staff. Recommend to book the three course menu (changes regularly) for dinner at the hotel. I had venison ragout and rack of lamb as main and both were superb. Dinner room is a cosy place, good wine list. Dinner was preceded by some drinks at the hotel bar which, for the size of the hotel has an excellent selection of spirits at very good value-for-money prices. You select your breakfast choices in the evening from an offer ring of various fresh juices, tea pot or cafeteria of coffee and a full English (or various alternatives). Overall we enjoyed our short stay a lot and will return if/once back in the area."

"Firstly, I would just like to say that the kitchenwares, crockery and cutlery were of a high standard as are the furnishings and decor. As a result it felt like the owners respect and value the people who pay to spend time in their lovely apartment. With the beautiful location all in all this meant that our holiday did not include even one niggle about the property. Thank you."
