"Great communication with the hotel prior to our arrival. It was literally a 5 minute walk from the terminal, we cut through the airport car park and we used a suitcase trolley the whole way - there's a trolley bay outside the hotel too. The person on reception was lovely and very accommodating when we arrived. We had 3 cases and hand luggage, she offered us to leave cases in the luggage room which was really helpful. Our room was clean and the beds were comfy. The only thing to be aware the heating is through an air conditioning unit and it is very noisy, we arrived at 3am after a flight and our room was cold, too cold for our baby to sleep in the travel cot - it was like ice. She was layed up and had a sleeping bag but I ended up co-sleeping with her in the bed. We did turn the heating on but it was so loud we couldn't sleep with a noisy air conditioning unit on, it also made the air really dry. Breakfast was excellent, help yourself buffet style with all the usual Scottish breakfast items plus cereal, toast, croissants, fruit juice and hot drinks. We would definitely stay here again just maybe make sure to have the heating on as soon as we get into our room especially in the winter."

"Good location - easy walk to the loch and a restaurant next door. Room felt a bit dated and shabby - there were no luggage racks, the window wouldn’t open, the main light didn’t work. Staff were efficient and friendly. Fine for one night. Note: you need to put your room key in a wall slot to get electricity in the room."

The building is quirky and has so much going for it… probably several £££ million to bring it up to 4* standards, but the staff were super friendly and the room we were assigned was brilliant and had lovely views over the port. Also accommodated for our dog which was really appreciated. The restaurant served a great dinner too and the Scottish breakfast gave us a cracking start on our onward journey. Thank you !"
