Cozy Mountain Cabin Nelson 151 near Bold Rock Cidery and DB Brewery

"Our stay in this delightful cabin was amazing. Lorraine could not have been a better host, and everything we needed was there. Cozy was a great word, as my son and I felt it was a home away from home. We had planned on immediatley hiking, but decided to relax at the cabin for a bit first. loved the chickens and ducks, and they did not make any noise. Will definitely be staying again."

"The house was perfect for a relaxing family vacation. The area was very quiet and peaceful, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. The kids pretty much lived in the large pool. The setup of the house was great, with plenty of places to be together, but also lots of space to spread out and take some time if needed. Maybe our favorite thing was watching the abundance of deer that would gather in the meadow each night at dusk. There was even one particularly friendly deer who made her way right into the yard by the pool several times a day to say hello. This was a great place to stay for our vacation, and I would highly recommend it."

"We found this home's online description & photos to be a very good match to what we found. The home was well supplied & very clean. There was sufficient living space for our family of 9 adults and 1 teenager. The game room had numerous options for play, e.g., 4 arcade consoles, air hockey, etc. There were sufficient number of tv consoles through the home. Kyle, the owner, was very responsive to any questions or issues we had, of which there were few & minor in nature. The pool area was clean with numerous seating, lounges, chairs, & tables with umbrellas. The pool water was crystal clear and didn't require heating (note extra fee for propane to heat pool). There was a hot tub, but we didn't use it. We used the grill & fire pit. Our only issue with the house was for a person with mobility issues. The steps to the lower level were quite steep & difficult to navigate & taller people had to watch bumping heads going down. Another problem was the only stand alone shower on lower level. It had a high edge to step over & no grab bar to assist making it easier to access.Surrounding area had numerous breweries, wineries, distilleries & a meadery within a short drive. The immediate area (Lovingston) had limited dining options, but most of the aforementioned establishments had food on site & Amherst, about 15 miles away, had numerous restaurants. There were a few apple and peach orchards & farmer's markets nearby.Overall, we would vacation here again & recommend others try it, too."
Private Mountain Retreat near Breweries and Wineries

"This serene, peaceful property with a gorgeous treetop setting made our vacation so memorable. Coming from the Southwest, we were enthralled with the size of the trees and all of the green foliage. We hung out on the balcony that was complete with rocking chairs, roasted marshmallows at the fire pit, and thoroughly enjoyed the downstairs basement with toys and foosball. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, spices, and coffee, a must have. Our family had plenty of space to spread out and privacy with 3 bedrooms and a bunkroom. There were plenty of towels, pillows, and bedding. This home was only 15 min to our daughter's house in Faber, so getting together with our large group between the 2 houses was easy - 17 members and 5 children under the age of 4. Kids were kept very busy with the "playroom" and discovering rocks and mushrooms outside. We made memories and had lots of family time -- beautiful pictures. Thank you for the lovely setting and a place to call home. If we converge on VA again, we'll definitely see if this home is available."

"We had a great time staying here! Everything was clean, we felt safe, and the property views were amazing! Beautiful home. Kyle was very quick to respond and helpful. They also made check-out a breeze. I would definitely recommend and stay here again!"
