We stayed at the Rubi Rosi for 3 nights/4 days in Munich in May.
The location is excellent, just a few steps from Hauptbahnhof station and easily walkable to the centre of the city (Marienplatz is less than 10 minutes away on foot).
The bar/reception was a cool, pleasant place to check in and have a drink, although there's not much of a view of the city from here (or, to be fair, the rooftop terrace).
Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Our room was excellent; roomy, stylish, really good shower, a comfortable bed, huge TV (if that's important to you) with decent air con and windows you could open for fresh air.
We ate an excellent breakfast one morning, but it seemed a little dear at 20 Euros each - Good food, but maybe not great value.
Each floor has a 'galley' where you can buy snacks from a vending machine and make tea - It was only on the last night that I discovered instant coffee there too (it's in with the milk and sugar), but it was pretty poor stuff. Being used to British hotels where you usually get a kettle in the room, this was a bit of a negative, but equally, better than no facilities for making hot drinks at all, which is often the continental option.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Ruby Rosi - It was comfortable, competitively priced, perfectly located for exploring Munich on foot and via the S and U-Bahn and rather 'cool'.
We'd definitely stay again if we're in Munich. Thanks to all we dealt with in the hotel.
