"I found this to be a traditional Chambre d'Hôte, where you don't feel you are in a hotel but rather a guest in the house of the owners. My room was comfortable and quiet, the breakfasts were very good, and the hosts were welcoming. What more do you need?
The house is about a 10-minute walk from Gaillac across the river. It is also a fairly short drive into Albi, which is a small city that is well worth exploring."
"It is in a property in the middle of nature, surrounded by beautiful green plains, the place felt like a big home, cozy, the room very comfortable, and very clean; the bathroom has a big beautiful tub and also a rain shower. The breakfast was perfect with fresh orange juice, fresh baguette and soft buttery eggs! I already booked another night. "
"Dominique was a wonderful host, friendly and thoughtful. We had dinner there and that was excellent. The place is lovely and the area is outstanding."
"Chateau de Salettes is a welcome haven in a sea of the typical hotels. Its quiet elegance and beautiful surroundings make it an exceptional destination. "
"Chambre confortable mais mauvaise isolation phonique bruit de l’escalier attenants
Petit déjeuner moyen car croissant et pain au chocolat industriel réchauffé mais bon pain "

Beautiful 17c villa with private pool in SW France
6/10 Okay
"There were three things that let the house down. The first problem was a totally inadequate WiFi. To get a good signal you had to be in the little room where the box was. The WiFi was weak in the bedrooms and very poor in the garden. In this day and age that is not good enough.Secondly the grass in the garden was very overgrown and simply needed cutting. Both of those could be easily fixed and you would have a great house. The rooms are lovely and the Garden really good especially for a town house. The only other down side was that the pool was not heated. We knew that when we booked but it would have made an enormous difference to the holiday had it been heated. We were there in Mid may and it stopped a lot of people using the pool, and is likely to make us look elsewhere next year."
