"Great family vacation home in a beautiful setting. We stayed for 2 weeks with the family and parents and have a wonderful time. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean property, plenty of amenities."
"The property is away from all cities, quiet, beautiful views. There are places to eat and shop within walking distance and the in house restaurant offered amazing food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "
"Il Castagnolo was the perfect quick Tuscan stay for our family. The accommodations are pleasant and comfortable. The pool is cold and overlooks the beautiful countryside, and it’s a very quick ride into San Gimignano town as well as surrounding Tuscan vineyards."
"Marcia and her staff were so helpful throughout our stay. Great location for accessing San Gimignano.
Great WiFi throughout the property.
Many thanks "
"Pure sanctuary for Tuscan relaxation with the most beautiful views. Everything about this place is wonderful, from the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and well looked after. "
"The mobile homes were a great alternative when Via Francigena hostels were full. Friendly people, swimming pool was wonderful , and an easy walk back and forth to San Gimignano."

BRUNELLO - Cozy cottage located in a peaceful & panoramic position in Tuscany
10/10 Excellent
"The villa was beautiful, well equipped with everything we could need. Bruno was an amazing host. Beautiful arrival package of home made olive oil, wine and biscuits.Villa w as very clean. AC is a must in the summer months. Pool was perfect with the most amazing views. For complete relaxation this is the place. Bins were emptied each morning by the host way before we were awake, pool was also cleaned. This so nothing to do with Bruno or the Villa but would recommend mosquito repellent as there are alot of them in this area.Would recommend the villa and will definitely be returning "
"Our stay at Poderi Arcangelo in the rolling hills of San Gimignano was nothing short of magical. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, the views were the kind that stop you in your tracks – especially at sunset when the Tuscan hills glow gold. The food was exceptional every day, with authentic local flavours that made each meal a highlight. The staff were warm, welcoming and always tried their best to help, adding to the charm of the place. The location is perfect for exploring nearby treasures such as San Gimignano itself, Certaldo, and Volterra.
One thing to note – a hire car is essential. Public transport is virtually non-existent here; we couldn’t get a bus at all and taxis, while available, were scarce and very expensive – we spent €400 on just three journeys. This isn’t the hotel’s fault, though it would have been helpful to know in advance.
Also, while the property is beautiful, there’s no real indoor bar area for relaxing before or after dinner. There is an outdoor bar, but it only opens on weekends and closes at 18:00, so an early evening drink isn’t always possible.
Despite this, we had seven days of bliss and would return in a heartbeat – next time with a hire car, ready to explore every corner of this stunning part of Tuscany.

Beautiful apartment in San Gimignano - RoccaiaCasa'70
10/10 Excellent
"We were very pleased with this property. It worked perfectly for our week exploring the local area and coming back to the swimming pool was always welcome. The apartment is well designed with a nice finish, particularly in the open plan living room/kitchen. Rita was an excellent host who was clearly invested in ensuring her guests were ok. A couple of areas we thought might be improved: a wardrobe or some sort of storage instead of a desk in the twin bedroom. The shower is on the small side and the shower curtain can be a challenge to keep in the shower tray. The driveway was also a challenge! However, overall we really liked the property and would return. "
Holiday Home 'La Loggia di Giulia' with Private Terrace, Whirlpool and Garden
10/10 Excellent
"This is the best vrbo we have stayed at in our lives. Host was communicative and easy check in process with a great welcome gift. Absolutely stunning views. Kitchen and bathrooms are updated and clean. Television and WiFi worked great as well as A/C. The only issue was the hot tub that really never warmed up so it was unusable for us. Otherwise It was the best stay of our trip which included Rome, Cinque terre, Venice and Paris. Will be back soon!"
