"What a great little hotel! The town is rather small and not much shops like San Gimignano, but this hotel is clean, rooms are roomy and the garden dining is out of this world. Beautiful with views of the sunset and amazing food. One of my favorite. The town has several restaurants too and some good museums. "

"This family owned villa is run by Francesca and her family. They were phenomenal. The beautiful villa was recently converted into a boutique hotel and has every state of the art amenity. The rooms were large and the bathrooms were spacious! The view from our room over the vineyard was awe inspiring. You can see the town of San Gimignano in the distance and it is just a short drive away. We picked this location because we wanted to visit the town and the Tenuta Torciano winery. It was just...

"This was the nicest place we stayed in Tuscany. It had a great location, the staff was super friendly and helpful especially the front desk. It was quiet and relaxing . Having a restaurant on sight was a plus. We stayed 3 days and loved it."

"Wonderful, quiet getaway with excellent service. I'd suggest at least a 2 night stay here, and recommend checking out the small town nearby (having a rental car is a good idea). "

"The staff was very friendly and so helpful getting a taxi when we needed it. We liked the room, the staff and the property--the pool was a little difficult to reach."

"Marilia deserves to be the VRBO host of the year! She was so helpful and accommodating. The house is comfy and spacious. We had a little issue with understanding the heating system but she solved it immediately. We were out of season for the pool. Oh well. We used this as our hub for side trips to various Tuscany towns and it was perfect. Marilia brought us a couple of surprises during our stay which was sweet. One major bonus that you will appreciate if you spend anytime in Italy. You get a dedicated parking spot! Highly recommend! "
"This villa was a perfect location for a wedding we were attending nearby. It had 3 large rooms that slept 5 of us (could do 6). It is older and as such there were a few issues. The oven did not work (this was not an issue for us as we didnt plan on using it), and the beds were very hard. We were not left with dish soap or extra toilet paper, but Manuel did drop it off once it was requested. The apartment we had (Albicocco) is on the 2nd floor with a flight of stairs up. The pictures show a terrace/patio but it is just the landing at the top of the stairs. The view was stunning in the morning. There is a washing machine available but they do ask for €5 per load and drying racks are provided. The property grounds are definitely showing some age. It is a short but windy drive to Castelfiorentino which has a great Coop grocery store. Overall we had a pleasant experience staying here."

"Marilia was a gem. She cooked us a delicious dinner the day we arrived. She arranged for a cooking class on site and connected us with a driver for our day trips. She went over and above to make our stay wonderful. The house was built in 1050 BC and was a treasure to stay in. Many features have been left when modernizing. The cellar is original and a great place to visit or eat while you are there. The views are spectacular. We cannot recommend this house enough!"
"This is a working winery and while the apartments are somewhat rustic and without air conditioning they provided much of the charm and experience that we were looking for during our stay in Tuscany. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the wines produced by the winery. Natalia and Roberta were especially friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the buffet dinner that was available on our first night that included delicious food and wines. We also took advantage of the daily breakfast since the location is somewhat remote. Alternatively, one could easily prepare their own breakfast in the apartment kitchen but we opted for the convenience. Although remote the property is conveniently located in the countryside about midway between Florence and Siena which were the two cities we planned to visit during our stay. There is a pool on the property and we did also enjoy a stroll into the vineyards one evening to watch the sunset. The reason for the lower rating with facilities is primarily around some plumbing inconvenience which was not confined to just our unit but was being appropriately addressed by the property and we did not experience any issues on our last couple of days. Overall, our experience was excellent and I would stay there again if I return to Tuscany."

"The property was great particularly the outdoor areas and pool with plenty of big tables, pool lounges etc. We booked the whole property and so had all of the separate parts. Each room or set of rooms had their own kitchen and sitting area. This meant there wasn’t a big kitchen/sitting room for all 10 of us. It wasn’t a problem because the weather was perfect and we were outside all the time. There was a regional power cut while we were there and Agnese and her family were wonderful in help us get through that. They were responsive and extremely helpful. "
"Great place to stay in the Tuscan hills. This working farm produces fantastic olive oil and wine, both available for purchase and served in their own restaurant. The rooms are spacious and provide stunning views of the countryside. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The location is off the heavily beaten tourist path, a very nice and quiet environment. Location is also only a short drive to Florence for easy day trips (use the park and tram ride to city center at Villa Constanza). Great access to other beautiful hilltop towns as well, including Certalgo, etc. Our room (apartment) had a private bedroom, living room, fireplace, patio, and a full kitchen. We will definitely stay here again in the future!"

"Our stay at the Santa Lucia villa can only be described as wonderful. First off the villa is in a perfect location- right in the middle of the Pisa, Siena, Florence triangle if you will. Day trips are easy to do to almost any Tuscan area from the villa. The villa itself was great- all the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, showers have great water pressure. The view from the back porch is incredible as expected. Highly recommend the wine tasting they offer it was one of the cooler experiences I had in my time traveling for 3 months in Europe. My friends and I love the villa and will certainly be reccomending it to friends!!!"
