"The cottage has everything a family needs but the communications around check-in was very poor and hotels.com's customer service was unwilling to provide any assistance. I would have thought some level of quality control helped justify hotels.com's commission. Either way, the cottage is managed by the building next door and this is where you need to go to collect the key. "

"Pensionatet är ganska enkelt, den närmaste omgivningen erbjuder i stort sett bara naturpromenader, det speciella här är ägarna! Mycket hjälpsamma, talar bra engelska och är intressanta att tala med!"

"We had an amazing time there! The hotel was ran by a couple young Australian people who were great!! It was so nice to go to a hotel in japan and have people who spoke English easily! The food was westernized, which was amazing!!! The Onsen doesn’t fallow Japanese rules, they allow tattoos and you have to wear swimwear! 11/10. Totally recommend "

"This deserves much more than an 8.4 rating. We had one of the best ski stays ever at the Arai and we’ve stayed at Chamonix, Aspen, Jackson Hole, and Big Sky. The hospitality and food was amazing with some of the best service possible. The price was so much more reasonable than any other US destination. Thank you Lotte Arai."
"Stayed 3 nights in an executive room on the 10th floor. It was clean, spacious, and with a good view of the station and the mountains. Will stay again."
"Only 5-7mins walk to Nagano St. Many options of dining restaurants around hotel and station. They provided all amenities which we needed very complete, there were (if i m not mistaken) 4 or 5 coins-laundry machine with its dryer near lobby/receiptionist area on the Ground/1st floor. We really had wonderful 4 night-stays here! "
"We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. The property manager and staff were very nice and accommodative.
They gave us free use of the SUPs and kayaks which was lots of fun.
The rooms were nice and freshly renovated.
Highly recommended for either a summer stay to enjoy the lake activities or a winter stay to hit the nearby slopes.
Thanks!"
