"Everything was great no negatives :) Room and communal areas were well decorated and clean, staff very friendly, buffet breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold and special dietary foods. Right next door to the train station and only a ten min walk into main shopping streets"

"This hotel is ideally located near the train station and a few minutes walk to the main centre. Walkable to The Shambles, walls, shops, Viking centre etc. The room was very spacious and clean with amenities provided. Tea/coffee and biscuits were provided and a fridge in the room with water. We couldn’t fault the room. We didn’t eat in the hotel so couldn’t comment on the food but the choices looked good. We did use the gym. It was small but had all we needed. We thought it had an indoor pool but this was linked to the spa, so unless you are having a spa session, you can’t use the pool. If you are looking for a nicely located hotel with a little luxurious feel then this is the hotel for you. We would definitely return."

"Only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is because the check staff tried to charge me for a booking I had already paid for - good job I was on the ball and had a receipt to prove. Room was great (albeit hot) and breakfast was also great, lovely restaurant staff, would definitely recommend and location was also a bonus."
