Really nice stay, we booked 2 rooms and they were adjoining which was good, hotel lobby and bar are very nice spaces to be and the breakfast whilst a little expensive was excellent with loads of choice and good quality food, would definitely stay here again.

Visit to Barbican, hotel.

Lovely hotel, great location for centre of York & Barbican. Parking £17, but is secure. Hotel staff are lovely, so us the food in the bar.

Good hotel

Had a good stay staff were friendly and pleasant food was good the only down side was that in the room everything was clean and comfortable except the bathroom which really needed sorted there was paint splashed on the door and skirting.

Had issues with the room not being clean- sweets on bedside table, bathroom & sofa bed caked in dust/grime & clearly never been cleaned. Had to ask 3 times at reception before the room was properly clean & ended up discussing with a second manager on checkout as the one discussed with initially offered part refund as she was unable to move us to a different room then never got back to me. The manager (Peter Steadman) who eventually sorted things out for me was excellent and took my complaint seriously. Shame it needed to come to this though. Other than that the hotel was great - comfy bed, shower and bath in bathroom, nice breakfast, pool

We loved our stay here! Everywhere was spotless, the room was cozy and the bed comfortable. I loved the pool, and was pleased there was a sauna in the room and that the pool had an in-built jacuzzi. Reception was nice and there were lots of local goodies on sale for a reasonable price. All the staff we encountered were really pleasant, friendly and helpful. There was a good range of decent meals in the bar lounge, the pizzas were exceptional! I was somewhat disappointed with breakfast, the hot food was overdone and tough. The fried eggs were solid, and the scrambled weren't very nice. However, there were plenty of other foods to choose from. The bread for the toast was lovely. We will most definitely go there again, we fully recommend it!

Confortable stay

Confortable stay in a room set up with a pop up bed for my teenage daughter. Only recommendation is the room could do with a deep clean. Nice walk along the river to town. Parking on site is convenient and is open air (didn’t have to worry about having our van in the centre of town!). Would stay again.

Lovely Hotel

Took our 10 year old granddaughter for her last visit before schools opened back .our room was large with a double sofa bed for her . The bar area was very nice. Breakfast was what we would expect and the food was nice and warm . It was raining on the Saturday night so we opted to stay in the hotel for our evening meal but have to say we were quite disappointed with the quality of the food. All the staff were really friendly and we would definitely stay again.
