The crisp morning mountain air, the calm and serene lake below, and the quiet and relaxing vibe made this stay one of our absolute favorite places we have EVER stayed at. If we are ever near the area again or just need a long weekend getaway, we are definitely going to look here again! Great for the kids, parents, and grandparents. My mom was with, who doesn't move around as well anymore, and the single floor layout (including outside) was absolutely perfect for her, too!"

"Our week vacation was fantastic and the cabin is an absolute “Gem”. The Cabin is very well equipped, clean and nicely decorated, and I enjoyed the plentiful reading material about the local area. The view of the Lake is nothing short of beautiful, and can be seen from almost every room in the house plus two outdoor large decks! "If you’re looking for some peace and quiet—this is the place. 30 minutes from town and in the middle of the Nantahala National Forest and the lake close by, it’s a wonderful spot to relax and recharge. The cabin was spacious and mostly everything you need. My wife and our two dogs stayed for two weeks from end of February thru the first week in March. Very quiet during that time and can imagine how beautiful it is here in the summer and fall seasons. My dogs absolutely loved walking in the forest by the house to sniff around. All of the amenities made it feel like home away from home. We were able to work comfortably from the home and the surrounding area was picturesque and the people were wonderful. Would love to come back during the busy season to enjoy the lake and activities. Just an amazing place. "

"Our host was incredible he gave us a rundown of all the amenities and where the closest stores were. Was exceptionally communicative with us! I absolutely would recommend anyone staying here anytime of the year! The view was gorgeous the house was gorgeous the area around the property is gorgeous! I'll be back for sure!"

"John was a great communicator and helpful! We loved it all- the game room, hot tub, rope swing, kitchen (was there over Thanksgiving), ample beds and bathrooms and towels. To note- be SURE for driving, to take Rhododendron. Host directions said that but I didn’t download prior so trusted GPS. Don’t. Also- phone will go on SOS for about 30 min prior to arrival (coming from Franklin) so be sure to save lock box code and accurate directions. We loved it and enjoyed for our family of 6 over Thanksgiving! Boys ages 12,15,17,19! "

"The host was very good. She was very informative. The house was beautiful and very roomy for the family. I did try to light a fire , but found the lighters were unusable and there were only two matches. As she informed us ahead of time, the road up was very challenging. Maybe a few more directional signs would help. The views were spectacular, and the surrounding areas were as well. Besides the lack of lighters, we had everything we could need. We enjoyed ourselves very much"
