I would say it was a little overpriced. The castle view suite was excellent. Perfect for privacy to have separate rooms. The staff was extremely attentive and provided everything requested. Only minor inconvenience was there seemed to be flies throughout the hotel. Not a lot but unexpected

We finished off our wonderful Italy trip with a couple of nights in Napoli. We took some time deciding where to stay and whilst the ROMEO was the more expensive option we really enjoyed our time there and the main feature was the pool / bar area on the 10th floor which had fab views of the port area and Mount Vesuvius. The overall hotel set-up is really cool and the staff were very courteous and helpful. We upgraded to a Deluxe Harbour View room that are on the 5th and 6th floors giving better views of the port but I suggest you push for 6th as we were on the 5th & still had a view of a warehouse

This was the most beautiful hotel so far that we’ve stayed at in Italy. The beds were so comfy, the hotel was so nice. The 10th floor has spectacular views, they make great cocktails. Breakfast was wonderful too!

Nice service and ok location.

Service was nice and the hotel is maintained well. They advertise harbour view in some rooms. It was more like glimpse of harbour as it’s heavily obscured by a derelict building in between the hotel and the harbour.

Save your money

Only needed a room for a one night stay. While the staff is excellent and very accommodating the room was dirty. The shower was covered in mold and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Very disappointing for the price point.

Very nice hotel; quirky but all facilities provided were good. Room was very comfortable and clean. Location was excellent. Unfortunately Naples is somewhat dirty and that was true around the hotel. Overall rating was very good. We didn't like a) the bathroom lighting came on automatically in the night as it was disturbing our partner, the breakfast area is relatively small and staff seemed harassed (we had to wait to sit down on 3 out 4 occasions); and rap music in the cocktail bar seemed inappropriate.

Good but not great

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The gourmet breakfast was excellent every single day. The 4-star rating is really due to the aging of the hotel which is starting to show. Our shower head did not work and we had to use a hand wand to shower. Also, the internet was very inconsistent. Considering this is a 5-star hotel charging premium rates, we would expect the hotel to be better maintained. The location was also very convenient.

The hotel is lovely - clean and modern. Reception staff were really attentive and made us feel really welcome. Our room (Junior Studio Suite) felt quite small. The shower was difficult to use and the toiletries provided weren't as described on the hotel website. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine, which was a great gesture; however, the wine was corked and undrinkable when opened. Breakfast was included and although the food was average, the service was extremely poor. We were ignored by most of the waiters and when we eventually flagged someone over, they were quite blunt and couldn't provide us with a menu of what hot food options were available. Hot food was slow to be received and hot drinks were even slower - when they arrived they were cold. The pool is small and gets very busy. Limited space to sit around the pool too. We were unable to use it during our stay as it was so busy. The hotel is overpriced and not what I would typically expect from 5 star accommodation. Although a pleasant stay, I wouldn't stay again.

A 4-star hotel until the fix the pool!

Overall, it was quite hard to find a 5star hotel in Napoli that has the full kit. We booked this hotel for two nights, coming from Capri, and thought it'd be good to end our stay here. The only reason we booked this one, in relation to my first statement about 5star hotels in Napoli, was because of the pool. From the pictures you'll see this amazing view, the pool looks really nice and you think that you'll have this great short-city-stay. However, as soon as we checked in (which went smoothly, and all were friendly) my husband and I ran up to the pool are as we were excited to spend time there. The pool is really small, it is not maintained at all, it was dirty and yellow (from just being old and not well kept), there are very few sunbeds and the whole mood sort of changed when we first saw the pool, and then the actual view of just a big industrial facility. The hotel area, its location, is not very nice, and maybe this is something that one can put aside, if the pool are would have been mirroring the pictures online. If you are spending one or two days in the city, and want a place to sleep, sure this is a good hotel for that. But due to our experience we are not sure about the value. We paid about 400 euros per night, and it is simply not worth it. However. The rooms were nice, beds=comfortable, the breakfast was very nice but sure to us complaining about the pool, the service was cheeky. "We can't build a new pool" they said. Hotels.com helped us!!!
