Great place to spread out with 6 ppl including 3 teens. They had the upstairs and their own bathroom Great location and loved the uniqueness Rained most of the time or we would’ve built a fire and enjoyed the spacious outdoor area
This Charter House is as described. Fun decor with everything you would need. Our dogs enjoyed the backyard and we enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood. Dwayne was very helpful and responsive to our questions. Don’t miss out on going to the Rudder for dinner.
The cabin is as described and pictured. It's convenient to all Hendersonville has to offer. The beds are comfortable and the owner was very responsive. One thing you should know if you have a sensitive nose is the cabin has a smoke smell.
The house is great. Spaces are big. Patio huge. Rooms all good. Enough for 6 people.
Thank you Dwayne for been available
All the time.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Thanks
Five of us stayed for four nights while in town for a family wedding. We had a great experience here. It’s a unique property—century-plus old cabin with additions to make it roomier. The decor was an interesting mix of the historical, musical and whimsical. We were all very comfortable, had everything we needed and were well taken care of by our hosts who were incredibly responsive. We would all definitely stay here again.
The beds were comfy, sheets were soft, and the towels were soft and thick - and there were lots of them. A+.(However, BYO hairdryer, since we never found one.) The decor in the house is fascinating - a bit like spending the night inside a Crackle Barrell only more eclectic. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed and more. Appliances all in good order. It was a great place for the dogs with a nice fenced in yard. However, if your dog is a climber or a jumper (ours are not), you'll need to keep them leashed as some of the fenced areas are less than secure. Big fire ring with outdoor seating. Very quiet neighborhood . You gotta check out the bar/party room. We enjoyed our stay there with family.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything except a potato peeler and potato masher. Seating in the den was fine. I really liked the washer/dryer because it was not complicated to operate.
The bedrooms were spacious enough and the beds were comfortable.
Dwayne communicated with us very well. The location worked very well for us.
The most important thing for us was that we were close to family members who live in Hendersonville.
And the weather cooperated. It was a beautiful Labor Day weekend.
We had a wonderful time in Nashville and enjoyed our stay at the Charter House. Communication was immediate and everything was perfect for my parents, sister, and me. I will return to this place on my next visit. Plenty of room and clean, with many amenities. Highly recommended! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Awesomebcommunication, adorable house, and very unique and fun decor. Great place for our family to land for a few days while we waited on our power to come back on during the ice storm of 2026.
5 of 5, even six! This place is great! Quiet, nicely arranged, everything we needed to feel at home on our trip. Dwayne was so helpful leading up to our stay, and stayed in communication, checking in on us, during and after the stay.
Overall it was a nice place. The home had everything you needed and it was in a nice neighborhood close to Nashville. It could have been cleaner and the rec room is unusable in the summer (no AC). Although a short walk to the lake it was not a part of the lake that you have access to or can swim in. The beach is a close drive though and very nice.
My family and I traveled to Tennessee for a softball tournament. This was the perfect place for our stay. The cabin is very unique with great history. The backyard has a very private setting and front porch was perfect for evenings outside. The owners were great! We would highly recommend!
I have been using VRBO for 10 yrs & have NEVER left a bad review. The glade plug-in in the house was VERY overwhelming, so I moved it out to the laundry room, upon which I realized it was masking a scent that this cabin must’ve been smoked in for years. My son has asthma & was coughing all weekend although we tried to stay outside most of the day.The house itself wouldn’t cool below 77, & the upstairs where I slept with my daughter was about 10 degrees hotter. It didn’t cool down until 3AM - no one slept much. The multiplugs that are in every single plug in the main area are also concerning & could easily cause a fire with how many cords are running in & out of the house. The home itself felt very dirty & even the floors were sticky. It felt like being in a dirty bar after all the lights have been turned on.There was hair in the shower downstairs, & when I went to wipe the sink after dinner there was so much brown gunk on the paper towel it was as though the place has not been properly cleaned in a long while. The air unit upstairs was also VERY dirty. There is a ring camera on the front porch that is not listed in the VRBO listing. If it hadn’t been the holiday weekend we would’ve left but there were no hotels available. I am BAFFLED how this place has good reviews. And there are flea market finds all over that we were falsely accused of damaging after I asked for a partial refund & the owner tried to gaslight me. I am filing a VRBO report. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
