Four stars only because nothing is perfect. Property was clean and comfortable for a family of five. Nice touches on the inside, like cotton balls and pads in the master bath and cleaning products everywhere, make it feel like home. Just off the beaten path for a relaxing getaway while still remaining 10 minutes or less from all the creature comforts. Would stay here again, for sure.
We loved the location of the property. Close to Nashville but far enough away from the bustle. Quite Neighborhood. Property is as described. Many fish were caught off the dock and paddleboat. I even saw lightening bugs! We will definitely rent again.
We had a great stay! Home was perfect for a family. We were about 25 minutes outside of the city, which was nice to get away from the craziness in town. It was an easy drive. We were there in the winter, but would love to come back in the summer. Lots of amenities and loved being on the lake. The kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms were fully stocked. Everything you need for a great vacation. Thank you, we look forward to visiting again.
There were 4 of us and our dog during our 4 night stay at this rental. The vacation was just what we needed and the house was was perfect! The house was clean and spacious. We loved the bath, private balcony and walk in closet in the master bedroom. The kitchen had everything stocked that we needed for cooking. And the amenities on the property were fantastic! We enjoyed the hot tub each day. We were in town visiting family over Thanksgiving, but wish we would have had more time at the house to enjoy the fire pit, boats on the lake and more. Overall, we had a great stay and hope to return one day!
We had 3 generations and our dogs for vacation and lived the house! The house and yard were as described and offered a very relaxing stay. We enjoyed coffee at the gazebo. And time relaxing in the hot tub. The girls took the kayak and pedal boat out. The yard was beautiful. The house is very well stocked with all the little things. There was a Kroger Deluxe a couple of miles away for groceries And a couple of things. Great restaurants close by. We brought our boat so we put in close by. We also rented jet skis for the family one day. This was a convenient location for our children who live
We arrived on Wednesday with our 2 dogs and were very happy with the overall cleanliness and quality of the furniture there. Comfortable king beds and ambiance in the master with a balcony were just what we needed!
The outside property was exactly as pictured. Saw deer, wild turkeys and water fowl within the week we were there!
Dogs were certainly curious 😄 Janet was extremely quick to respond when there was a question.
The only thing that would have made it PERFECT was a fence of some sort for part of the back yard for the dogs, but it certainly wasn’t difficult to leash them for a walk in the yard.
we would stay again for sure!
We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house - the yard was absolutely beautiful with so many different seating areas and options to enjoy the lovely view of the water. We were in town for a hockey tournament at Volunteer park only 6 minutes away so it was perfect for us! We loved taking the tandem kayak out to explore Old Hickory Lake! The hot tub was nice for sore muscles. The home had everything we needed including a pack n play for our 8 week old. Janet was so helpful and flexible allowing us an extremely early check in and a late check out - so accommodating and very quick responses to all communication. We had absolutely no issues while we were there and will be back for the next tournament - we found our spot! Thanks, Janet for a great family vacation!
This property was amazing! We visited the local area for our children to attend camp nearby. The home provided the perfect, comfortable location for us parents to work during the day. We enjoyed relaxing evenings on the patio. The home was very well equipped. We have stayed in many rentals and this one was stocked with all the essentials you thought you needed and more. The beds were very comfortable with quality linens and towels. The hot tub was great. The property manager responded quickly to our many questions about the area/house. We hope to visit again someday!
Beautiful home and location. Clean and extremely comfortable beds. Well stocked on all fronts; plenty of dishes, linens, paper products and even had laundry detergent. Enjoyed watching the wildlife in the backyard. Definitely recommend this rental. It's been a slice of heaven!
6 adults and 3 babies stayed at this VRBO for the long Memorial Day Weekend and we had a great time! The dock on property was fantastic as we rented a boat and kept it at the VRBO overnight. The VRBO was stocked with all the necessary paper products, cleaning supplies, and kitchen needs. We’d certainly stay here again.
We had a great time at the old hickory lake house. My adult children and their family, along with the family dogs, all had the best time. The place was clean, the neighbors were friendly. We loved kayaking and using the paddle boat on the lake. The corn hole game was a hit! We brought our fishing boat and the launch was a short drive from the house. Seth was very quick to respond to all messages when I had a question. I will definitely stay here again.
The house and location are great! The house is very well stocked. Several kayaks, life vests and a corn hole game are available. I have a tritoon, so the dock was so nice to have. It is very shallow but no problem. It was cold and rainy during our stay so the fireplace was a bonus! I will be a returning guest!
The location was perfect.
-Right in the lake, so we were able to bring our bass boat.
-Close to multiple golf courses
-Close to downtown Nashville
Todd was an excellent host and made our stay a great one!
My family had a fabulous getaway here at the lake house on old hickory lake! I feel like the house and property were even better than we anticipated. We really appreciated how well appointed the whole house was for our stay. Hope to visit again soon for another relaxing time on the lake.
Property was just as pictured, check in and check out was super easy and smooth. Great communication with property manager! The pedal boat and kayaks that’s are made available were so much fun. Would recommend this rental to anyone and hope to rent again in the near future!
Everything was as described. Older house but in good shape. Plenty of room for medium sized families. Great neighborhood. Close to Kroger and shopping. A little bit of a drive to downtown Nashville but not bad about 30 minutes out.
If this property was CLEAN, I would give it 4 stars. But it was almost disgusting enough for us to leave. Dead bed bugs, filthy floors!
We booked this rental for a trip to Nashville for our daughter’s softball national championship. The days at the fields in Hendersonville were hot, humid and exhausting. After a day of games we couldn’t wait to get back to our quiet and relaxing house.
The house was perfect for our family of four. It was spacious and had everything we needed to make meals. My kids spent most evenings down at the dock fishing for bluegill and took the kayak and paddle boat out into the lake twice.
The house was very clean and provided everything needed to enjoy the lake including fishing poles.
We would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a quiet getaway on the outskirts of Nashville.
The house was clean and nicely furnished; the carpet upstairs appears to be almost new. The bedrooms are spacious. The gas fireplace was wonderful for the cool evenings. Our son-in-law called the large garage "awesome"; it was a great space to clean up their dog after walks, especially since the weather was quite damp at times. Because of the weather, we weren't able to spend much time in the great outdoor space - gazebo, dock, patio with furniture, hot tub, and much more. This house would be ideal in better weather because there's a lot of equipment for enjoying the lake.
We appreciated all the things supplied - food storage bags; plastic wrap; foil; laundry detergent; more trash bags and toilet tissue than any place we've ever stayed. We appreciated having the large pantry to store all our supplies.
Throughout the whole rental process, communication with the property manager was top notch. And we were able to have a later checkout time, which was very helpful. Thanks, Todd, for everything!

We booked this location based on the photos, the location on the lake, and the proximity to the city center. Upon arriving we did not receive check-in instructions, requiring me to call the host to get access to the home. Upon entering the home seemed clean on the surface, however once we got settled we realized it wasn’t as clean/maintained as one would expect at this price point. The tv remote at one point had fallen through the couch (which was broken and beginning to fall apart). While trying to get the remote out, I encountered all kinds of old food and wrappers. When pulling out the remote, silverfish came crawling out from underneath. The hot tub stopped working the first day we used it. I contacted the host with an explanation of the issue along with photos and after getting one reply, we never heard back. The property is on the extreme edge of an inlet on the lake, so all of the trash from the area pools in front of the property. It was too cold to swim while we were there but I wouldn’t get in the water if it was warm enough. The paddle boat is old and the pedals are not secure to the boat itself. While pulling the boat out of the water, one of the pedals came loose and fell into the lake. Luckily, we were able to find it after 3 hours of searching. Lastly, the backyard was overgrown with weeds and needed to be mowed. Overall, the property was serviceable, though we were very unimpressed with many things, especially at the price point it is at.
