"This cabin is tiny, but cozy. Everything we needed was there. We stayed here to be close to SIU for our granddaughter’s graduation. The drive to the school was easy. The setting on the lake was very pretty & peaceful. We were pleased to find we could bring our pup. He enjoyed his walks on the quiet road. "The cabin was great. It was clean, comfortable, and worked great for our needs. The drop down ladder/stairs to the loft were not an issue for our group. The kitchen had just what we needed to make breakfast and dinner. We basically only slept there because we explored all day. We did bbq and have a fire at night."

"As my son said when I sent him a photo from the deck, “Speaking as a lake scientist, I can say with certainty that (that) is a very pretty lake.” He’s right. Nice lake with a nice lake home. "We loved our stay at the Jaybird Treehouse! It was well maintained, clean, and super cute. The shower was amazing, the beds were super comfortable, and our teenager and their friend loved the trap door and "bunker" under the rest of the treehouse. The ice cream maker was such a nice touch! A couple things that I feel I should note... 1) the walk down to the lake is fairly steep, and is a boardwalk rather than stairs. "Staff was very accommodating since it showed I had made two reservations. ( First one on Hotels.com crashed on me so thought it didn’t complete so I made another.) He told me to cancel one before a certain time and I did. I greatly appreciate his advice. Room had everything but a coffeemaker but I bring my own. Cleanest ground’s I’ve seen at a hotel in a long time!"
