A Wonderful Stay!

What a lovely house and fabulous hosts - everything was absolutely delightful! Easy access to everything Newark has to offer: the Square is 5 minutes away, with plenty to eat and drink and enjoy. Highly recommended for anyone needing a spot in the heart of it all.

Perfect Getaway for Family Time

We came to Newark to visit my younger sister who just had her first child. The house was well equipped and cozy, allowing us to enjoy our family time. Daniel & Amanda were excellent hosts. They were extremely helpful before & during our stay. We'd definitely rent again if in the area. Thank you!

House was nice and as described online. Convenient location to stores and restaurants. Having somewhat of a disability found it a little difficult entering the home without handrails on the porch steps. Also getting up stairs was a little cumbersome without handrails for the staircase. Great Value and Delightful Old House

As a history major I appreciate old houses and the culture surrounding them. Daniel and Amanda did a great job renovating this late 1800's house. We appreciated being able to have our pet join us. Daniel was very responsive, and all the amenities were there for our needs. No problems checking in/out or with our stay.

Great house in a poor location. Shared driveway with neighbor wasn't a big deal, but was very small for a truck and car in addition to the neighbor's car. We did enjoy the history of the house though. Clean and well taken care of.

Great location! Lots to do in Newark. Thehouse is on a busy street, but it wasn't too big of a deal. Just a little loud at night if you're not used to it. Host allowed us to do a late checkout which was awesome!! Very clean and comfortable

Warm cozy house in Newark

We stayed at this house in Jan and the weather was below freezing. The house was clean, warm and cozy, although the water in the shower did not remain hot after the first person. The appliances in the kitchen were modern and high quality. The house is on a busy street.

Sweet and charming home!

The home is beautiful, charming, clean and full of character. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, although it was only one night. We were fantasizing how we would use each room if we owned the home. The home is nice, the neighborhood less so. We were disappointed in the shortage of toilet paper and mirrors in the house, as well as the considerable difficulty we had getting inside because of a glitch with the combo lock. I also was surprised that I was charged another 150 when I changed booking from 2 guests to 4. I probably just missed that in the listing.to super

Host Daniel was responsive and the property description was accurate. The spacious kitchen and full baths were a big plus and each seems to have been recently remodeled. A neighbor was very kind and helpfully rang the bell to tell us we had left a car door open. Each bedroom has window(s) facing the road. Very infirm guests might benefit from a stairway handrail.

My husband loved the downstairs shower! House very clean, located close to shops but on a street with lots of vehicles passing. Main bedroom is in the front of the house that faces road. Neighborhood is a mix, shared driveway; neighbors on that side couldn’t be nicer. There’s a screened in porch out back & a nice backyard but unfortunately, house on the other side of the fence isn’t anything you’d want to look at.

The property and the renters were great. The house had been nicely renovated and had a great floor plan. It was a very interesting house, I really liked it. I live in the country, so the road noise probably bothered me a bit more than it would other people. This was the only reason for anything lower than a 5 star rating. I struggle to sleep in hotels for the exact same reason. It did quiet down through the night, just that you know. The gas stove was awesome to have, a really nice and modern fridge as well. The whole house has been updated nicely and it does have a lot of charm.
