Super quiet , peaceful location . Right off the beaten track , good for walking . Cottage very clean and comfortable, nice outside space to sit and watch the sun go down
Perfectly sited for the Beamish museum, the property is split into several 'cottages', such that you're sharing the experience with several other groups of occupants, so not quite as much the total countryside as I had hoped. The conversion was clearly done some time back, such that there are a few outstanding maintenance jobs. Breakfast not included, but Louise provided milk on request.
Property was brilliant area excellent as I know it well being from Walker originally.Could not fault the cottage apart from the obviously inflated price for Sam Fender concert. As a Geordie this didn't go down too well. A must if you are a visitor to the area as it is set in an idyllic and central area for almost everything worth visiting in Newcastle area and beyond.
Cottage was homely and well equipped. It was home from home feeling.Hosts were lovely and even made us a cake as a welcome.Would definitely stay again.

Lovely setting with lovely walks around from the farm to begin or end your day. We saw deer, owl, wild geese, hares on our walks. Very good local pub for food, but need to drive as too dark for evening walking.
This was a truly delightful stay! We loved a rural experience as opposed to the bustle of the urban centre, yet easy access to all the wonderful sites NE England has to offer. Louise was warm and welcoming - quick to respond to enquires - confirming we made the right choice to stay at this property!
Nice clean and well equipped cottage in a quiet rural location but still only 15-20 mins from central Newcastle and Gateshead Quays. Close to other attractions and a great quiet base to explore the area.
