My stay was Dec 26-29, booked months in advance. When booked was not told that restaurant would be closed during my entire stay! Also during my stay, hotel management limited access. Also room window was such that could not latch at bottom, needs repair. I've been very pleased with my previous stays there, though this time I was less mpressed!

Great location - near shops and handy for the race meeting with courtesy bus pick. Negatives. No onsite breakfast. The room lacked storage space, very cramped, and had a moisty smell. On site disco was noisy and not mentioned when booking.

Classic older hotel in the centre of town
Alll good. An older hotel in the centre of Newmarket but everything worked well. Had dinner in their restaurant one night and it was excellent. Only issues...the bed was shorter than I am used to and at only 5 foot eight I had to be careful to keep my feet from going over the edge. Not advised for tall people. Some rooms face a nightclub across a small courtyard and sensitive ears might not like the noise which while not excessive and not a problem to us might annoy some.

Kings had everything we needed for an overnight stay and at a very reasonable price. Clean room with huge bed, small but decent shower, tea & coffee making with plenty of supplies, plus a microwave, fridge, kitchen sink, crockery & cutlery. Also hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Central location, taxi rank just across the road. Staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Would definitely use again if we're in the area.

Racing weekend in Newmarket
Just off the high street, so great location. Very limited parking so parked at the White Hart across the road, which was OK. Nice little hotel, rooms are very small but comfortable and contain everything you need. Stayed on horse racing weekend which I guess that was why the room price was so high, otherwise it would have been expensive for the standard of room.

There was rubbish from previous guest in room. I asked about getting a taxi for the following morning and was handed a telephone number. This hotel had poor unwelcoming service. It was cheap.

Upon entering the hotel the hotel lobby and stair area corridors and in much need of repair and refreshing although the room was clean and the bed was comfortable he was all a bit dated the noise when we returned at night was awful thumping noise went on till late downstairs and then afterwards there was people talking and shouting outside and doors banging in the corridors I’m afraid it wasn’t a very pleasant stay TV remote didn’t work Parking was a major problem considering the priceYou pay and charge for this room I don’t think it was value for money

The Kings has been modernised to a high standard. It has good facilities in the room though the water temperature in the shower was too hot. It is very convenient for the High Street and a range of good restaurants.

Like being at home! The staff very nice. The food excellent - Tikka Masala - Amazing. Best to all. One concern Friday, Saturday loud music could be toned down a bit !

Loved the location, friendly staff and you were always going to get a 5* review from me in the back if facilities in the room ie fridge and the fact that you are the ONLY hotel I have stayed in that has fresh milk. You have no idea what a difference that made to my stay. Rooms were great and couldn't have been any closer to the attractions we were there to see on this stay. We will absolutely be back to stay again!

The lady on reception was amazingly helpful, friendly, and very informative about the hotel and local amenities. She was a star.room was excellent and clean,as was the reception/bar areas. would definitely recommend kings to anyone.

Good sized clean room with comfortable bed. Dressing room and fridge were a bonus. Hand sink in shower room was leaking. This was reported on arrival but was not fixed during the stay, resulting in pools of water on the shower room floor. Excellent location for High Street. Would not advise stopping there if looking for quiet accommodation due to nightclub within the hotel. It was noisy until 2.30am on Friday and Saturday night. Also people attending the nightclub were rowdy and loud as they were leaving.
