Our hosts were very welcoming and provided pretty much everything you could wish, a home from home environment that allows you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay.
What a fantastic cottage! It has everything you need to make your stay super relaxing and memorable. A great location too. Brighstone is a great village complete with village shop and pub. Stayed here with teens and a dog and the games room and beautiful garden kept everyone happy. Would definitely stay again.
We had a lovely stay here. The cottage is beautifully done up with a great private garden. It’s walking distance to the local amenities and not far from the coast. Would recommend it.

Photos don't do it justice beautiful house and garden
The property was fantastic, beautiful house and gardens with everything you could need.
The two double beds were exceptionally comfortable and the addition of the games room was a great extra.
The garden was secure for dogs and was a great space to sit in the evenings.
This was our first time on the Isle of Wight and we enjoyed it very much. Nowhere was over busy and everybody we met was very friendly. The cottage was perfect for us and in a good location and the enclosed garden was great for our dog. The local shop and pub was only a nice flat walk away.
Very pretty cottage and gardens, beautifully clean and comfortable - one of the best holiday homes we’ve stayed in. Nice area, quiet location but a good local shop, cafe and pub within walking distance and most of the island’s attractions easily accessible. Helpful information from the host.
Lovely place, great for kids who lives the play room (as did the grown-ups!) and the garden. Very quiet surroundings and especially the living room was super-comfy and I would love to enjoy it on a cold rainy winter night. Access to property was very easy and straightforward. Would recommend.
Fantastic cottage, had everything we needed for a family stay. The children (7 and 4) loved the games room and garden toys. There is also a playground in the village and pub and local shop - all a walk away from the cottage. We were nervous about not being on the busier side of the island but everything is a short drive away and Compton beach is a very short drive which has lovely sandy beach, fossil hunting and great for swimming. Would recommend!
Lovely thatched cottage in a little village with a good local pub within walking distance and a charming tearoom. The garden is a lovely place to sit and listen to the stream and birds whilst sipping a glass of wine. Truly relaxing
We had a wonderful stay, and Phillipa was so accommodating when we finished our challenge later then expected, allowing us to stay an extra hour after checkout.
The house was immaculate and clean and will recommend to our family and friends. Thank you.
Lovely property, which despite being on a main road was in a very peaceful location. What a delight to have only the noise of the stream coming in at night to lull you to sleep!
The property was well equipped and had everything we needed for 2 adults, a 14 month old and a dog.
Great little village and only 35 mins leisurely stroll to the coast. An ideal location for exploring the IoW. So great to have Mottistone Gardens only 5 mins drive, who allow you to take your dog to walk the grounds.
Great communication pre stay from the host, who was most helpful with some questions I had.
A couple of very minor practical items missing (bin in bathroom and a large knife in the kitchen) would have been useful but otherwise a fantastic stay. Would highly recommend and would happily stay again.
This cottage was perfect for our get away, nicely located in a quiet village and fairly central to attractions, 40 mins max travel time. Cottage was clean and tidy, nice little touches such as games, tv & various chargers etc Felt like a home from home
Checking in was easy as Phillipa had already sent the instructions weeks prior to our visit, check out was just as easy
We would definitely use this cottage again if we returned to the island
We had good weather, but phillipa has provided plenty to do in the cottage if bad weather. There is a pool table that becomes air hockey or table tennis, lots of other traditional games along with an x box (we didn’t use this so can’t comment on it but it’s there)
We have nothing bad to say about the cottage, it’s as described and excellent value for money
Lovely, well appointed property. Good communication with host. The small games room was well used as was the smart TV. Very well insulated, not draughty. High quality beds and furnishings.
I was slightly concerned by the oil boiler in the downstairs utility room just off the kitchen which also contains a downstairs toilet. When the boiler was on it gave off some fumes which I found unpleasant and I wasn't used to. The room isn't well ventilated and I didn't want the fumes in the kitchen or downstairs sitting room. Solved by opening the outside door. Only gripe about this lovely property.
Communication was exceptional- thank you. The house is beautiful and is in a lovely friendly village. The house was equipped with almost everything we could possibly need for our week stay. I hope to be back soon.

The cottage is amazing, facilities, cleanliness, location are faultless. Communication from host is great and will be looking to book up for a future stay soon
Very tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable beds, everything we needed, beautiful cottage garden with stream running through. Lovely village with shop, tea room and pub within walking distance. A great stay!
