"In an attempt to avoid travelling in the heat, we arrived very early. The staff were very welcoming and were happy to provide drinks. We decided to stay for lunch and were not disappointed with the food. Steaks being cooked to perfection, with desserts of sticky toffee pudding and brownie being to die for! When we did get to go to our room, we found it more than adequate, very clean and tea/coffee making facilities and a mini fridge to store our own goodies. There was ample wardrobe space and bedside drawers and a dressing table. Although we did not use them, there was an iron (with board), fan and hairdryer available for use. Every member of staff we interacted with, from the bar/check in to the waiting staff in the restaurant and cleaners/gardeners were all polite and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Even though we were only staying one night, we felt like we were on a great holiday and would definitely come back to stay if in this area again."

"This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful place, with really friendly staff and everything you may need for a getaway or a celebration. Air conditioning in the room was perfect. The only con I’d mention about the room is dirty windows. Peacocks can be a bit loud but do add to the vibe"
