Start your day with breakfast at REMs Café or Seaspray at South Fistral - both local favourites known for excellent coffee and some of the best breakfasts in the area. From there, it’s just a short walk down to Fistral Beach, one of the UK’s most famous surfing destinations. Whether you’re a seasoned surfer or a complete beginner, you’ll find plenty of surf schools, board hire and lessons available, as well as great spots for swimming and relaxing on the sand.
For a more peaceful waterside experience, head to the nearby Gannel Estuary, perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking or a gentle swim, especially at high tide. The surrounding paths and sandbanks also make it a beautiful place for a walk.
The South West Coast Path runs right through Pentire, offering stunning walks in both directions. A must-do is the scenic walk to Lewinnick Lodge, perched on the cliffs and ideal for lunch or dinner with incredible sea views.
