La Belle Villa, Rostrevor, N. Ireland
Our new villa has great views of the mountains and sea at Carlingford Lough, is close to restaurants and dining, the small beach at Rostrevor, family-friendly activities (walking, trekking, cycling on the Mourne mountains and sailing in the bay), and nightlife. You’ll love it here because of the views, the location, people, ambiance, peace, outdoors space and beautiful fresh air. The space
La Belle Villa has been awarded a 5 star rating with the N.I. Tourist Board. It is a brand-new building, built to modern standards and sits in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains in Rostrevor. There are 2 double beds in bedroom 1 and a brand new large sofa bed in the sitting room, making it a second bedroom if required. It can accommodate 6 people. There is ample private parking space immediately adjacent to the villa and above all, total privacy is guaranteed. Rostrevor, " The Riviera of the North" is famous for its social life, with its excellent selection of restaurants and bars. It is also popular with tourists because of its culture and history. We have the Narnia Trail, the Cloughmore Stone and are at the foothill of the Mourne mountains. Rostrevor is also the home of General Ross, who invaded the USA in 1814 - the only time in U.S. history that Washington, D.C. has been occupied by a foreign force.
Guests have full use of the modern villa and its surrounding paths & mature gardens. From here guests can relax and enjoy elevated views of Carlingford Lough. There are built in ramps ensuring full access for guests.

We will be available / accessible at all times and will help with anything which may arise. We may provide a local taxi service may, depending on demand.
Other things to note
We are at the end of a fully mature driveway and the villa is completely self sufficient as well as being totally secluded and private. The villa is south - facing and outside, has a private suntrap area partially surrounded by dense shrubbery at its side.
This description is best summarised by direct quotes from our guests, Ann and Jim (25/5/2019) "Looking forward to a few days away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we were overwhelmed by everything staying at the Belle Villa. First of all, the approach to the bungalow was an amazing drive up the tree and shrub lined avenue, likened to a "fairy glen." We were greeted by John, a warm, friendly and witty guy who made us feel so welcome. The bungalow is situated in such a beautiful spot, has well maintained and beautifully designed gardens, the bungalow itself is stunning. Spacious, spotless and so comfortable with everything you need. Tiled floors throughout, massive bathroom with a fantastic power shower. Beautiful and comfortable leather settees. A large bedroom with two of the most comfortable beds and pillows., where you just sink into and fall asleep. From every window at the front the views are amazing. You have the majestic mountains in Carlingford and Omeath, the gentle rolling hills surrounding the countryside with their cattle and sheep, the sweet bird song, a little piece of Heaven on earth. The entire time, just views and tranquillity that take your breath away. For self catering, we have never before experienced anything like what John and Dolores offer. Trust me, it will have everlasting wonderful memories."

The property is very clean and well suited for light cooking. The owner was very friendly and more than happy to recommend places to eat. We did not have any issues with our stay and the pony’s on site ran up to us for a bit of attention. I would recommend this property for a lovely stay
John and Delores gave us a lovely warm welcome. We so enjoyed our stay. In a convenient location near many beautiful scenic attractions. House is immaculate and extremely comfortable and spacious. In a quiet peaceful location with beautiful views.
My stay was too short. The place is immaculate and the beds are among the most comfortable ever. The towels were luxurious. So peaceful! John and Dolores are wonderful hosts. I hope to return in the future.
We loved our stay at La Belle Villa. The private villa is separate from the owner's home and is very spacious with a full-sized kitchen, family room, bathroom, and bedroom with two large beds. The views from the property are beautiful! We enjoyed hearing sheep in the distance and seeing the horses on property. The surrounding gardens are beautiful! This home is close to town for groceries, etc. and also close to Royal County Down for golf. Dolores and John are very friendly, gracious hosts. We greatly enjoyed our time and hope to return someday soon!
We had a lovely stay for a week. The owners live on the property. They were very friendly and helpfull with everything. We could feed their pony's. The house was very clean and spacious for the two of us. You do need a car to get around but Belfast or Dublin are at about an hour drive. On wednesday, saturday and sunday you can enjoy Irish music in the Rostrevor Inn. We enjoyed this very much.
The house was so much better than the photos shown on website! John was a lovely friendly guy. The place was spotlessly clean. We loved the decor in all the rooms. The beds were so comfortable and the shower was the best. There were lovely shampoo and body wash and even a box of tissues! The views were amazing. A lovely walk into Rostrevor where the Fiddlers Green Festival was happening 💚 The Rostrevor Inn is our favourite.
At the house we seen the fox that comes everyday to be fed!
We highly recommend!
Stunning property, with beautiful panorama over Carlingford Lough and a forested hill behind the house. The property is also furnished and finished to a very high standard, with plenty of heating and hot water to stay cozy even in cold conditions. We really appreciated the amenities in the kitchen also. Thanks to Dolores and John for their hospitality, hope to return soon
Just had a very relaxing week at La Belle Villa. This property is a great place to recharge the batteries. Peaceful and quiet. It is a very beautiful property. It is superbly clean and extremely comfortable. John and Delores are very friendly and helpful hosts.
Someone told me that this is the Rivera of Ireland, and I think that may be true. What I liked most (besides the wonderful landscaping John and Dolores are working on) was Kilbroney Park, with its' Narnia/CS Lewis (Chronicles of Narnia) themed hike, and the walk up to Cloughmore Stone. Also, the pastries in Warrenpoint were amazing.
We greatly enjoyed our stay in La Belle Villa even though the unseasonably cloudy weather largely prevented climbing the higher Mourne mountains. John greeted us warmly and then gave us complete privacy whilst always being available to help should we have needed. The 'villa' is lovely and has everything you need. We concur with John's recommendation of the Rostrevor Inn for excellent meals at a very good price. 20-25 min walk from villa Lots to do in the area - we enjoyed Kilbroney Park in Rostrevor and walked from there up Slievemartin and beyond, walking the Slieve Gullion Trail, and taking ferry over to Carlingford.
Bungalow was beautiful. Lovely comfy beds. Great bathroom. Great views from seated area outside summer house but from listing we thought we could have used it as it was one of the reasons we had booked. Listing needs updated. Views from the villa were blocked by tall bushes at the front of it all we could see from inside were red leaves which was a pity as views would have stunning. We loved the ponies and fed them carrots. Foxes visited us evening and morning which was amazing. A great location.
This was my first time in Europe (only second time traveling internationally) and also my first time vacationing as a solo female. John and Dolores were lovely hosts and made me feel comfortable and welcome. I arrived the day before St. Patty's Day and didn't know anything about the area. I was fortunate enough to have been invited by their family's son to attend holiday festivities in Belfast so that I could enjoy St. Patty's Day and not be clueless and alone for the holiday. This was much appreciated. The home itself was very clean and lovely. Huge space for one person, but a few folks could comfortably stay too. I thoroughly enjoyed the food options in Warrenpoint, and there were were plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. Rostrevor is a cute town as well, just fewer options in terms of food and things to do. The ponies on the property were also wonderful and friendly to pet and talk to. You feel like you have your own little private home, amongst a gorgeous landscape, but the owners are in the house just next door if you need anything which was awesome. They also helped me last minute with my laundry when I was in a pinch, and one of the daughters was also very helpful with that too. She even brought me chocolate. Overall, you'll be staying with a kind family in a safe, beautiful town. Would definitely recommend staying for several days, and I would stay there again. Thanks again, Dolores and John, for your fantastic accommodations!
Myself and my girlfriend stayed at La Belle Villa for a 2 night stay, the owner John was extremely welcoming, very helpful and kind! Anything we needed he was only a phone call and a doorstep away! The home was absolutely beautiful, all you could need for self catering and stay. It had everything! The view was panoramic and tranquil and honestly breathtaking. The beds were extremely comfortable as were the sofas if you just want a chill day and watch the tv with the sky box which has a lot of shows! Not to even mention La Belle Villa is on the footstep of the Mourne Mountains which is amazing especially if you love mountain walking. La Belle Villa is definitely has the perfect name, the beautiful Villa! And that’s exactly what it is!! I would 110% recommend La Belle Villa.
Thank you John!
Really beautiful house nice and spacious close to the town and the host was very helpful and replied back to any questions very quickly overall a brilliant 2 days away will definitely benack
