My husband and I had an amazing stay! We were celebrating our anniversary and truly appreciated the level of thought and care the staff displayed to help us celebrate. Not only did the staff place roses on the bed and shaped towels into swans, when we left on our first excursion and came back, we were surprised with a lovely cake in our room. Additionally, the surrounding mountain area of this hotel is beautiful and makes swimming in the infinity-like pool and eating the complementary breakfast all the more enjoyable. The staff were amiable, hospitable, and helpful, and I particularly appreciated their prompt replies on Expedia when I had any questions prior to arriving. We highly recommend staying at Jiva Hoa Lu Retreat!

Jiva Hoa Lu was an excellent choice for us to enjoy a few days in Ninh Binh. Firstly, the location is very close to the center of Tom Coc, where there is access to the river boat tours, restaurants and simple shopping. A hotel electric golf cart can drop you off and pick you up via a request on their app. Upon arrival into the Indochine inspired reception area, friendly and helpful staff greet you and take care of luggage. The grounds are set amongst a backdrop of the limestone mountains and create a private space for the resort. The pool is massive and offers cocktails and the main menu. The rooms are spotless with a comfortable firm bed and crisp sheets for a good rest. Each room has its own wireless access to power devices and TV apps. Breakfast offers delicious Vietnamese and Western options. Don’t hesitate to book!

beautiful nature resort with excellent servuce

this place was absolutely beautiful and the service was impeccable. we were there for the soft opening so we felt lucky to sort of have the place to ourselves while they were still doing finishing touches. the property is gorgeous and it’s close to the little town where everything is. they have a free shuttle to the town or nice bicycles you can rent. the rooms were so nice and brand new!

This may be one of our favorite properties in our honeymoon. It is newer so the gym was not yet ready but that was okay. The pool was so relaxing! They have dining on the property but since it was slow season it wasn’t a buffet breakfast like advertise, again not that big of deal. Highly recommend renting bikes for free from them and just heading into the city to eat! Also they do take you on golf carts to the city for free also! Very very nice resort

Ninh Binh is simply EPIC! We have been several times, and love this neck of the woods. Coming from Hanoi, this gem of a destination is the perfect place to rest, recharge, and listen to nature. And there is no better place to unplug than Jiva Hoa Lu Retreat and Resort. The staff are the most professional, the grounds are well kept, and the scenery is second to none. We enjoyed the spa as the treatments were world class and the therapists were so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was surprisingly delicious, as the breakfast buffet was on point, and the dinner was spectacular. We even celebrated a birthday and the staff was particularly attentive to making sure the celebration was so special. We took part in a private tea ceremony, and I think this was one of the highlights of our stay. They offered an E-Bike private tour which we took advantage of, and it was so fun! The benefit of staying at Jiva Hoa, is that it is off the beaten path, and yet, the staff offer a buggie/golf cart shuttle to town any time that it is needed. The resort uses an app which was a cool feature to communicate with the staff for any needs. There are plenty of hotels and homestays within the Ninh Binh area, however, if you are looking for a luxury stay which will blow you away, look no further than Jiva Hoa. It is worth every VND! We will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay, amenities not yet available

Beautiful and scenic, perhaps the best property in Tam Coc. Nestled between misty limestone mountains, Jiva provides a serene getaway with superb service from employees, a delicious and plentiful breakfast, and beautifully designed rooms each with a Mountain View. It was so beautiful that we extended our stay by a night. While the service and atmosphere were wonderful, Jiva retreat is in a “soft opening,” with spa and sauna services not yet available and ongoing construction of amenities listed online. This information is not on the Hotels.com or Google, and we were not made aware of this until our arrival. This was a disappointing, as we had planned to use these services when we booked. The mattress was also very firm, which affected sleeping comfort. Overall a lovely stay and we would love to return in the future. When the retreat has full amenities, it will undoubtedly be a five star experience.

Overall beautiful resort, however the ongoing construction in the hotel (not fully ready hotel) it’s still impacting negatively to the experience. Once ready it will be great!

A beautiful place to stay surrounded by the karsts. Away from it all but a golf cart ride into town . Loved it
