Entire Cottage with Additional Creek Cabin - Fallingwater Ohiopyle Seven Springs

Main cottage (available year-round) - 1 bedroom, 1 sleep sofa in living room, 1 full bath, 1 half bath off kitchen

Additional creek-side cabin (only available April 1- November 1 - $85/night plus $50 cleaning fee) - 1 bedroom, 1 double sleep sofa,1 full bath, dry kitchenette

We never rent the creek-side cabin separately from the main cottage. If you do not need to rent it, you will still have access to the creek-side deck.

Welcome to your home away from home! Located back from a rural road directly on a murmuring creek, this quaint cottage has an updated, fully stocked kitchen with stainless appliances and an island where you can sit in the morning to enjoy your coffee and look out over the creek and rhododendron. The kitchen also features a living area, and a large window seat great for bird-watching or looking at the babbling brook. You may be lucky enough to see deer coming to the creek for a drink. The property also features a goldfish pond with lily pads and frogs. All rooms are on the same level except for the enclosed sun room which is one step down. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, two reading lamps with USB charging ports, a full-length mirror, closet, and large dresser. Around the corner is a full bath with a shower/tub combo. The sunroom has a couch, large table and chairs, and a TV. We do not provide cable, but we have WiFi, and a Roku to stream your favorite shows. The living room has a queen sleep sofa, comfy chair, and a gas fireplace with remote. The washer and dryer are in the half bath off the kitchen.

Outdoors, you will find expansive lawns (perfect for playing cornhole, which is provided), flowerbeds, a goldfish pond, a cement table and benches with umbrella overlooking the creek, a large deck overlooking the creek attached to the creek-side cabin, a large cement patio with gazebo, picnic table, five-person hot tub, and bar set with umbrella. There is also a large fire pit with chairs.

We only rent the creek-side cabin in addition to the cottage during the summer and shoulder seasons for an additional fee of $85 per night. Not available during winter. It has a double bed, a full bath, and a microwave, coffee pot, and dorm size refrigerator. The large deck overlooking the creek is available even if you do not rent the additional cabin.

Excellent space with everything you could possibly need! Everything is clearly labeled and exactly where you need it. The hot tub is dreamy in the evenings. The creek was shallow and nice to splash around in. Be sure to get some ice cream at See-Mor's All-Star Grill's window just down the street. Lots of great hiking and waterfalls in the area.

Lovely stay

We stayed here to go skiing at Seven Springs. The location was great, the beds were comfortable, and we had plenty of room to relax after long days skiing.

Great stay at Poplar Run Retreat

Poplar Run Retreat is a lovely place to stay for 5 nights! Alta has made sure that the cottage is well maintained with lots of extras. We enjoyed cycling the GAP and visiting Fallingwater.

Great Cabin Get Away

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend get-away. The house was very nice. Had all the amenities that we wanted and needed. Welcome basket was very thoughtful. Host was prompt with communication. The property was very relaxing. The sound of rushing water and nature made for a peaceful time to enjoy my coffee in the morning. Although the weather was not great, we were still able to enjoy the surrounding state parks which were all close by.

Lovely place

We had a wonderful stay at both the house and creek side cabin. Everything was spotless, the kitchen very well appointed, and the grounds lovely and peaceful. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the creekside deck. We hope to return!

We loved the quietness and coziness. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. The hot tub was icing on the cake. Having a lot of condiments is a plus as well, especially when you forget some important ones... We enjoyed our stay and will be back. Thanks for a great place!

It was a cute and peaceful place to stay while skiing at Hidden Valley. Boardgames and puzzles were available in addition to the hot tub, creek, and pond.

Amazing Oasis near FALLINGWATER.

Hiking and hot tub-ing!

Came to celebrate my birthday weekend in Ohiopyle. The goal was hiking, relaxing, and quiet. This place was perfect ! The location was easy to get to everywhere we wanted to get to,and also the perfect spot to unwind and relax. We LOVED the hot tub, the stream in the bakyard, the deck on the creek house, and our favorite spot was the window seat to read,have morning coffee and bird watch! The house was clean and stocked.,the host responded promptly, and the welcome basket was such a nice surprise. Would love to return in warmer weather to really enjoy the property more. Definitely recommend!

Lovely Stay

My partner and I celebrated our engagement with a trip to the Laurel Highlands. We explored the Caverns, Cucumber Falls, Fallingwater, Polymath Park, and had a spa day. This location served as a wonderful centralized location where we were able to enjoy s'mores by the fire and dips in the hot tub. Beautiful property!

This cottage was the absolute perfect getaway for my boyfriend and I. The property was spotless and so inviting. The hot tub was so relaxing after a long day of hiking. The deck off the creek house was excellent for morning tea. The indoor fireplace was also lovely. The host was so kind and communicated promptly and politely when we had questions. We will definitely be back.

Better than expected.

The property was beautiful. Many times when they advertise a creek it is just a glorified ditch, but this was a beautiful trout stream with clear flowing water. Overall wonderful.

Always peaceful and restorative

This was our third visit to the property. The cottage is always clean and well-maintained with pieces of nostalgia woven in. We purchased a RV at the end of April and we still decided that we will return to this property when it’s not camping season. Hopefully, that clues you in to the charm of this property.

Poplar Oasis

We enjoyed the grounds of this lovely creek retreat just as much as the sweet house. Nestled along a creek, with a koi pond, fire pit and covered picnic area with a hot tub, and a deck over the water (in front of the small cabin that we did not rent, but the deck was available to us, it was our family oasis for a few days. Convenient to Fallingwater and Ohiopyle! Alta was great and the house had everything we needed. We will stay again!

Great peace and quiet

We really enjoyed our getaway at the house. We utilized the hot tub a least once a day. It was very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed playing cornhole. It's one of our favorite activities. We used the grill which was very clean. The welcome basket was fabulous! We were in close proximity to things we wanted to do including Fallingwater, Flight 93 Memorial and Ohioplye. We would reccommend this place to anyone!

Great Getaway

We had a great stay! The property is nicely kept and in beautiful scenery. We had a nice time reading and playing games by the fireplace. In warmer months I'm sure that the property would be very enjoyable. Alta was a very pleasant host and had a welcome basket for us. All communication was very kind and clear. She even allowed us to check out late because there was not another booking coming in right away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back sometime.

Creekside Cottage

We enjoyed a brief stay at the cottage while we explored key local attractions including Ohiopyle, Fallingwater, Polymath Park and Kentuck Knob. Our hosts provided a lovely welcome basket and left useful information about the area. We did not end using the hot tub even though it was all ready upon our arrival. We particularly liked the calming, gurgling sounds of the creek that runs along the back of the property.

Great Retreat

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view of the stream with its sounds was extremely relaxing (along with the hot tub). We went to the various Frank Lloyd Wright sites (Fallingwater, Polymath Park, Kentuck Knob) all of which were no more than 15 minute drive from the cottage. Cottage was extremely clean and the hosts were very kind, providing a welcome basket of delicious treats and snacks. The cottage is also ideal for a family, the various outdoor spaces, such as the cabina, fire pit, koi pond and table/chairs near the stream bank offer a lot of spaces and not feel on top of one another. Hosts were easy to communicate with, and my wife and I would highly recommend staying at this relaxing retreat!

Perfect little retreat!

We can thank Alta enough for a wonderful stay at Poplar Run Retreat. Everything was absolutely perfect. Checking in and out was a breeze. The property was better than we hoped for. We had fun splashing in the creek, hanging out by the fish pond and enjoying relaxing time on the deck overlooking the creek and bonfires. Alta had a nice little welcome basket for us as well as plenty of info on places to check out. This place had everything we needed, should have stayed longer and very much looking forward to coming again. Close to lots of activites as well, ie Falling Water, Laurel Caverns, White Water Adventurers and much more. Highly recommend for families or as a couples getaway.
