"I asked for an ocean view room in the Sorrento we got one that faces a concrete wall. On the first night the shower head fell off onto my husbands toe bruising it badly. People allowed their kids to play ball on the halls. The walls are very thin. We were also hit by a football 3 times while sitting by the pool. Getting service was very difficult by the pool as well. "

"This is an honest review of my experience here: The rooms were spotless cleaned, and looked like they are fully renovated. The staff goes above and beyond, best service ever. Everyone who works there I would give them a 10. At the pool they have big bottles of sunscreen for everyone to use and I loved that. We also loved the game room for the teens and kids, I just wish it was opened until later but they close at 6pm. On the other hand, the hotel is very old, so the layout of the property is weird. Specially the spa and gym area. The beach area is not clean, there was a lot of seaweed and I couldn't believe you have to pay to get an umbrella. This is the first time I have to pay for an umbrella at a hotel in South Beach. The other thing I hated was the extra charge for every single thing. For example, yoga class you have to pay $30 per person, but not for the meditation class. Microwave in the room, $25, kids club $125 per day. Overall, the hotel is good if you're not looking for something luxurious, very family friendly, it's clean, has great staff but it's too old and the extra charges make no sense. "

"Apparently housekeeping had been cheating on their bed changes. My bed linen was found to be dirty, stains and human hair. Not very pleasant. This issue was resolved immediately with brand new linen. Hopefully it was an oversight by room attendant an not a trend."
