Secluded Forest Cabin w/ Hot Tub & Private Waterfall
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin is located on a beautiful, private piece of land with many indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and detach the craziness of the world. The kitchen is well appointed enabling you to concoct whatever culinary delights will warm your heart. The covered hot tub is a delight at the end of a day of hiking. There is a lot of natural beauty along Highway 20. You will, of course, want to enjoy the on-property waterfall, but don't the Hegg-Benson trail along Barr Creek just up the road from the cabin. If you are looking for a place in the Highway 20 corridor, I highly recommend this one!"
North Cascades Getaway – Off-Grid Riverside Cabin with Wood-Fired Hot Tub
10/10 Excellent
"I was a bit skeptical after learning about the generator process that I didn't read about in reviews. We decided to go anyways and boy are we glad we did. Absolutely beautiful property, and Ron, our host was great. Waking up and having coffee looking at the river was mesmerizing. Steps from the rivers edge made it very easy to hike up and down its banks. The cabin has all the necessities you would need, except for a hairdryer, my wifes only complaint! we cooked most of our meals there but did venture in to town and ate at Up River Bar and Grill. Food was very good. All in all a great choice for spending our 40th wedding anniversary. Look forward to a return visit in the future. "
Glamping Dome w/ Hot-tub & Kitchen, 15 min drive North Cascades National Park!
8/10 Good
"Overall, we had a really nice first glamping experience! The host was very communicative, responsive, and kind throughout our stay. The grounds and the inside of the dome were clean and well kept, which we really appreciated. The location is right off the road, so it wasn’t quite as secluded as we expected. Also, the dome appears a bit more worn than the photos suggest. ie: there was some film and moss buildup that made it difficult to see out clearly.A few small amenities listed didn’t seem to be available (like hand sanitizer and Kindel), and we did have some trouble with the hot tub not maintaining its heat.On our last day, we did notice some small black bugs inside the dome that were crawling on us. We didn’t keep food inside, so we’re not sure what attracted them, but it may have just been a seasonal/outdoor factor. Additionally, the BBQ didn’t seem to be working, although we didn’t reach out to the host for assistance, so that may have been easily resolved.Overall, it was still a positive experience and a great introduction to glamping."
"The pictures do not do the Rhody House justice! It was such a charming, well equipped, and comfortable cabin, despite being in a remote area. The Rhody House is the perfect place to explore harder to get to places in North Cascades National Park, including the Cascade Pass area. We were very impressed with how fast the wifi was, and we loved how peaceful and quiet the cabin was. I can see why it stays booked up! We will definitely try to stay here again if we come back to the North Cascades area. Thanks to Steve for being such a fantastic host and sharing his amazing cabin with visitors! "
Rainbow House Private Annex: Charming comfort at North Cascades National Park!
