Dear Ben,Thank you for your review. Very pleased you enjoyed your breakfast. I suspect the noise you refer to was the kitchen extract fans being switched on in the morning, which is essential. Once switched on there is a ''background '' noise but generally is not noticeable or disturbing.Kind regards, David.

My fiancée and I returned recently from a pre-wedding trip to England, and the Hopping Hare was our jumping-off point for things we'd scheduled to do while in the Midlands. At every opportunity, the staff went above and beyond to make it a most enjoyable stay. We had one of the smaller rooms...small, but nicely appointed and well-maintained. In the mornings, I'd get the day started with a Full English, while my fiancée went through some of the other options. One evening, we stayed in for dinner and drinks. In every case, our food choices were exceptional. If you find yourself in or near Northampton and need a place to stay, stay here. You won't be disappointed.

The hopping hair was absolutely darling! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Dinner was fabulous. We stayed from seven till eleven. Had the full English breakfast in the morning and it was more than I could eat. Delicious delicious delicious. Check in was super simple and so was checking out so sad to have to leave.

Everything was great, friendly staff, great welcome, clean well equipped room and bathroom. Only slight issue was mold in shower, but obviously ingrained in silicone not on surface, so maintenence rather than cleaning issue.

Our stay at the Hopping Hare couldn't have been better. The room was clean and cozy, and the staff was super friendly. We enjoyed every meal that we had there, and the wait staff was excellent!

I could not fault the staff; courteous, helpful and well-mannered. Most especially the young man who served me with my evening meal; he brought my drink to my outside table, brought a menu to my outside table and all with a smile on his face - a credit to the hotel. On the negative side, at 6:30am either an extractor fan or perhaps some sort of air conditioning unit sparked up and it was difficult not to disturb my sleep even with all my room's windows closed. Positive overall except for that latter point.

Dear Kev,Many thanks for your review. The noise you heard was the extractor fan for the kitchen, which is legally required for H&S reasons. Breakfast is served from 7am mid-week and the fan is switched on when the chef arrives. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do.Kind regards, David.

Excellent hotel with a real personal touch
Easy check in with pleasant helpful staff. My room was on the top floor and was perfect for my one night. Had a great sleep aided by brilliant blackout blinds. Had an iron too which not all hotels offer. Had fantastic food for dinner including an amazing pulled pork scotch egg and fish pie. Breakfast in the morning was of the same standard, served with a smile and good background music adding to the experience. I chose this hotel on recommendation. It was 12 miles out of my way but worth the extra travel time in my opinion. I managed to finish the final hour of my day with my laptop and a cold pint of San Miguel in the beer garden soaking up some sun. Overall a brilliant relaxing experience and will return next time I’m in the area. Many thanks to all the staff!

Excellent small hotel in a quiet setting. Ample parking the taxi only took 10 minutes to get to the centre of Northampton. Staff very helpful and called the taxi each time. Restaurant food was excellent and tables need to be booked at weekends as it is popular with non- resident families and couples dining out. Lovely building ( built 1902) and there is also an outdoor dining area.

Super ambiance and chic decor throughout, excellent restaurant meal. Food and room extremely good value for money. Bonus private outdoor space for evening drinks. This is my new hotel choice for staying in Northamptonshire.
