"This is more a review about La Quinta as a franchise instead of one single location. The recent change made to their WiFi options is terrible. To receive free WiFi, you must create a Wyndham account (which I didn’t want), but when trying to use said account for verification to access the WiFi, I could not get past the authentication page. It had all the fields to complete (username, password, captcha code), but no button to click so I could submit it. The guy at the front desk- who was very nice/ had to give me a promo code to bypass the whole ordeal just so I could access the free WiFi. So unnecessarily complicated. If I can avoid staying at a La Quinta in the future, I will."

Historic Plaza Hotel

"For Memorial Day weekend, we decided to stay at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas (NM)..! :) The city is one of our favorite destinations in the state, and we love taking the scenic route (Hwy. 104) from Tucumcari to get there! :) It was our first time to stay at the Plaza. Many celebrities have stayed there, and you can read about each one throughout the hotel. (We discovered that the Plaza was used to shoot scenes for the movie, "No Country for Old Men.") The hotel has a bar and a (separate) restaurant that serves excellent food! Our room had a tall ceiling and a long window (with custom curtains) that gave the room a modernized yet luxurious feeling! The staff was also helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again..! :)"

"I lost my wallet here, and since I was making a round trip I stopped in after my trip to ask about it and they had it and had never bothered to call me. I felt that was extremely unprofessional and not having my ID or bank cards I was stranded hundreds of miles from my bank and had little in the way of options."
