Location is perfect if you have a train to catch. The centrally located next to the opera at the waterfront and a lot of dining. The rooms are very clean. I did not use any other amenity as I was there only for one night. This is a very high volume Hotel. They are always almost fully booked to the point where they might not have the time to maintain the property thoroughly. The first room I checked into there was an issue with the door. It was very hard to open, and the deadbolt did not key in. It looks like there was some damage to the door or some wear and tear. As a woman traveling alone, I didn't feel safe staying in the room. I went to the front desk and they automatically changed me to another room the door worked on the other room, but the light in the bathroom of the second room would not turn on. I had to go to the bathroom with the door open in order for it to have sufficient light. At this point, I could not change rooms anymore. It was late. I was checking out earlier on Sunday. I was also quite surprised to see that breakfast was not served on Sunday before 8 AM which I was told was quite common for Norway on a Sunday but again quite surprised that such a large hotel next to the train station would not have an earlier breakfast. The hotel would really benefit in investing more in regular maintenance. Perhaps they will do so in the off-season carpets are generally worn out in the hallways and there are a lot of small issues like that with building maintenance.

Onsite breakfast was delicious and incredibly convenient before heading into town for the day. Staff seemed unconcerned about checking in and did not tell us any relevant information without asking questions such as times and locations of where things were.
