Quiet and peaceful
Wonderful getaway in beautiful surroundings - history and landscape in the same package - and a cottage of real character

Fantastic Cottage
We had a wonderful time at the cottage, the grounds were fantastic and the abbey was fascinating to look around. The only thing to be aware of is that in order to get to and from the cottage whilst the abbey is closed is via a gate with a key code, moving a bollard, and then a gate with a padlock. It wasn’t a problem for us but might be for some people. Also there had been heavy rain before we arrived and the drive way to park at the back of the property was very water logged.

Gardner’s Cottage at Newstead Abbey
Absolutely beautiful place. Having grounds of the Abbey available was great. We stayed for a short break and enjoyed the environment so much, we didn’t leave site at all during our stay. We had three generations in our group, and we all loved it. Young children enjoyed the stay without getting bored at all

a lovely stay
The cottage as lovely and the gardens are beautiful. It was in a good position. The Hutt pub was worth eating in. The Abbey itself was worth visiting too. All in all a lovely place to stay. Highly recommend it :-)
