"The room was okay, but the property is poorly maintained. The trash can by the front door was full the entire time we were there, and there was a pair of men's underwear inside the front entrance that remained there the entire time. Also, there is no staff on site. We could not use our TV. I contacted the "staff" via WahtsApp and they said they were going to send someone to look at it, but they never did. When I had questions about getting a taxi they responded they were in another location and to Google the information. I will never stay there again."

"First of all, the rooms are shockingly small....so much so that there was almost no space on one side of the bed. I tried to get down in the middle of a night and my ankle got bruised by the sharp edge of the bed. Second, the staff were simply rude and unhelpful initially. On one of the evenings, we decided to hang out with our friends in the lounge room and they didn't have all of the lights on. So, when we asked them to turn them on and they said we had to buy something from the bar before they do it! In the last couple of days, their attitudes improved, maybe because of the scathing review I left. But the reality is that we wouldn't have booked this hotel at any rate. Besides extremely compact size of the rooms and terrible coffee, they don't understand the hospitality sector."

"Historic hotel was an excellent choice for a 3 night holiday. Loved the outdoor swimming pool which was very warmby the lake. Also very nice to test out the lake swimming pool next to it to get an idea of actual temperature. Breakfast was superb especially the made to order omelettes, fried eggs, real honeycomb and different assortment of breads including especially delicious cheese rolls. Waiters and waitresses were very attentive. A daily Rossl Post kept you informed of events in the coming 24 hours. We took the Schafberg cog railway up to the top of the mountains which was expensive but well worth it. Book ahead if you know it will be a sunny and clear day as it was incredible. Make sure you take good shoes with grip and go right to the top. The room of hotel was incredible and the view out on to the lake was breathtaking. Staff on reception were very attentive to your needs and when we turned up at hotel we were greeted with glass of prosecco. A nice touch! If the bank balance can take it, I shall definitely be heading back!"

"A really beautiful hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Enjoyed the restaurant, the bar and the beer garden. The food was delicious everywhere, but the restaurant in particular was fantastic. Spa and pool were really nice, very relaxing and also clean and tidy. Highly recommend!"
