Wonderful room, view, comfortable bed, friendly staff, beautiful pools and tennis courts. It’s a lovely property.

It was absolutely beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The amenities were extremely expensive though, even for the area.

Sonesta is the 1st hotel I've been to where they do not clean your room unless you request it. And the request must be at least 1 day in advance. The hotel itself is old and tired, and the staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. Upon checking out, I had to ask for a payment receipt several times before they gave it to me. I paid $277/night for 2 nights (plus $25/day parking and $10/day facility fee) during move-in week for UC Berkeley, and it was definitely not worth the price paid.
