"This was my first time to use Hotels.com I was slightly worried for a moment about the site when i tried to confirm my reservation a week before my stay. The hotel could not find my confirmation number from Hotels .com The reservation number that i received was different from the usual hotel confirmation. Going forward, I recommended Hotels .com give the customer a confirmation number that hotel can easily locate. Also a direct number to their site, as well as to speak to a live representative should there be any questions The Hotel Stay: The rates were pretty good. Was told they charge for breakfast, so i passed. Room was clean nicely arranged. Staff was very nice and helpful. My only con was the pricing for self parking. It was pricey. It should be free if you reserve 2 or more rooms. Especially for a one night stay. Would I use this site again ? Perhaps I would. I don't travel much, but overall it was very nice. Thank you Hotels.com "

"Clean room conveniently located in downtown Oakland. Odd narrow building with only a few rooms per floor. No bar or room service but they do have a connected Biriyani Cafe with the BEST food next door, and they are open late! Two pluses in our book. Complimentary breakfast looked like standard fare but we did not partake in it. Would stay here again for the value. "

"4 PM check in is too late. 2:00 PM early check in is not early enough. $30 charge to check in at 2:00 PM is ridiculous, it should be part of hotel service and hospitality."

"We were in a 3rd floor room. I believe we were level with the Dance Club next door. The club sounded like it was literally on the other side of the wall! It was so loud. I could hear the DJs muffled announcements. The club closed at 2 a.m! The bass beat lasted until 2 am. The hotel said there is nothing they could do as they tried "calling the police", complaining, etc. Of course it is a private business. You cannot call the police on them for being loud when it is a dance club. BUT what Hilton could do is not put people in the rooms where it is the loudest OR you could pay to have the loudest rooms sound-proofed. It is not the first time I have stayed in a hotel near a club, reception hall, or theater. The difference here is that Hilton did no sound proofing of the rooms AND then sells them to unsuspecting customers. I couldn't fall asleep until after 2 a.m. and then had to get up early. It was terrible. I am sure that was not the first time they had to give some unhappy customer that same, We've tried everything excuse. Of course, no refund was offered."

"Our stay was OUTSTANDING in every way!! The room was spotless and well well-appointed, bed and bedding were luxuriously comfortable, all electrical and plumbing equipments looked and operated brand new, the grounds and parking lot are clean, well-lighted, well-marked, and easily accessible. The Staff was welcoming, friendly, helpful and understand "hospitality". Its location along the yacht basis is wonderful; we walked the entire mile sidewalk. We will definitely visit there again."
