"Great for our overnight stay when visiting family. Friendly efficient check in to a spacious room and bathroom. Maybe the decor is a a little dated but good quality furniture, towels and bedding, all well maintained and very comfortable. Everything you need for an overnight stay, including tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits on the hospitality tray. Excellent breakfast with friendly attentive service, served in the atmospheric bistro. Excellent value too in January. Very likely to return"

"Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, smart room. Comfy beds. Good facilities, very good breakfast. Excellent value. Hotel looking very good after refurbishment. Large (free) carpark. Have stayed a number of times over the last two years. All good."

"Clean room, plenty of easy on site parking, lovely efficient friendly lady on the reception. Do not pay for your parking on hotel.com, as I did, as I had to pay again at the venue. The receptionist explained that hotel.com do not have the facility to pay the private parking company, and I had to request a refund (from hotel.com). The receptionist advised me to always pay for the parking at the actual hotel."
