Very nice apartment in Oaxaca City

This was a very nice apartment to stay at in Oaxaca City. It's an easy taxi ride to the centro. The property matched the listing very well. The owner was very communicative and helpful with everything during our stay. The apartment is really nicely furnished and seems very recently renovated.

The listing states the house can accommodate 6 people; however, we were a group of 5 and found it very uncomfortable. There were only 3 beds available, which was insufficient for our group. We requested extra blankets and a heater, but they were never provided. Carlos mentioned he would provide an extra room, but this never happened. He also did not offer an extra night without charge as discussed. Check-in instructions were unclear, and we had difficulty locking the front door. Additionally, there was no water for one full day during our stay. Overall, the accommodation did not match the description, and the communication and follow-through were disappointing. Expedia and Vrbo did not allow me to cancelled my reservation and get my refund.

Ok place to stay

This location was quite a far walk to parks and the center. Good wifi. Not well stocked for cooking and living room furniture is uncomfortable. Host was good at getting back with us and helping us get a few things the house was missing. AC in the description is actually 2 fans. Worked ok for us as it wasn't too warm while we were there. Nice secure building including parking. Beds were comfortable. We ran out of water a few times which made doing dishes etc difficult. Host reported it might be a leak and asked me to check on it. I did not see a leak anywhere and we limited our water usage but it still went out a couple of times. First time it came back in an hour or so. Second time was when we were leaving so we were unable to do dishes, laundry, or clean anything before leaving. Overall it's a nice place. We stayed inside more than planned since we didn't have a car and it was quite a walk to the parks etc so for that we needed somewhere a little more comfortable.
