I always use the Royal Hotel it is very easy walking distance from centre with load to do round an about enjoy view etc we had a great walk to the folly at top of the hill the staff are very help full and did all the could to make sure we were made comfortable and cared for all our needs

The staff were amazing and so warm and friendly didn’t get the young man’s name on reception but gave us a warm welcome in arrival. When we went for dinner the night we arrived staff again were warm and friendly Jamie was such a lovely polite man and nothing was a bother. The room itself was a superior room but we certainly wouldn’t class it as that very dated furniture , and our view was into a grubby looking alleyway tho the bed was very comfortable. Great location, great staff but the dated interior lets the hotel down

Hotel was in a very convenient location. Enjoyed the Scottish specialities at Breakfast. The 4th floor where I was, was kept much warmer than it should be. My radiator was off but the room was still quite hot at night.
