"This house is a real gem in Fontane Bianche. The pictures in the listing match the property accurately. We stayed for 4 nights but easily could have done double or triple that--this place is so quiet and comfortable. Very clean and well maintained. Our host, Riccardo had a bottle of wine and a basket of and a basket of breakfast pastries waiting for us and met us after hours with no issues. There isn't a ton of action in FB itself, but this is a great launch pad to see Siracuse/Ortigia, Noto, Modica/Ragusa, without all the driving/parking issues you will find in these more populated areas. There is a great pizza restaurant only about 5 minutes away, La Capannina, that is on par with anything you will find in Sicily and they do take out. As with most private hosted locations in this price range, the kitchen is small, so don't plan on preparing a 6-course meal here, lol. Also, as with all places you might stay in Italy, when you check in, make sure the hot water is turned on and operational (trust me). Also note, the pool is not heated so plan on coming in the Summer if warm water is your thing. All-in-all, would definitely stay here again! Thanks Riccardo"

"Wonderful nice hosts. Very loving and helpful. But as another said. This is a property for which is a working sicilian household. Didn't see a hot tub, 1 gallon HW heater.so cold showers. Hard bed. Street parking (very safe street). But be aware that the owners are right upstairs. For a budget, this is great..for a vacation..not so much"

"This hotel is a hidden gem in the Sicilian countryside! The staff were welcoming and very helpful. They provided some great advice and assistance with visits to nearby sites. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Dinner at the hotel was delicious. "

"The resort is set in magnificent grounds , surrounded by farmland. It has a beautiful swimming pool and easy access to the beach ( which is pebbles—-but beautiful sand and water once you wade out)"

"We really enjoyed our stay here. It is near Siracusa so we were able to enjoy all the sites. Every evening we cooked and enjoyed the view with a glass of wine. Enzo was super responsive and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer."

"We stayed here back in 2020 and had a lovely experience so we were excited to return. The resort still has a lot of char, peaceful surroundings, a calming atmosphere and a great location for relaxation. However after five years it feels like not much has changed and not in a good way. The property is starting to show signs of wear and could really use some upgrades and better attention to detail. Breakfast was underwhelming this time around. The quality and freshness of the items weren’t up to standard. Coffee was terrible too. More disappointing were the cleanliness issues. We found a few hairs in the shower and bathroom which shouldn't happen in any hotel let alone a resort of this level."
