"Ok, we admit it. We travelers from the USA are spoiled when it comes to hotel accommodations. While traveling in Europe, we can manage, quaint, tight rooms with tiny baths and showers, but after a couple weeks, you need a break. MacClean House in Ft. William was welcomed relief. Exceptionally clean and newly renovated, we spread out in a large king bedroom with sitting area and a spacious (by local standards) bath with a nice soaking tub. Check in, while a bit ‘digital age’-ish was efficient and easy. A doable walk to the rail station and the Main Street for shops and food, it is a pleasant layover on the route between Glasgow and Skye."

"The reception staff were so helpful. My husband and I had booked tickets for the Jacobite steam train and we didn't want to have to take our rucksacks. The wonderful lady on reception let us leave our rucksacks in their office, even though check in wasn't till much later in the day. The twin room was clean and tidy, the bathroom was spotless and huge. We stayed in room 12. If i sat on the wide window ledge I could see the Loch. We had dinner in thd bar. The lady behind the bar was friendly, polite and very approachable. My husband had a burger and sticky toffee pudding. I can't remember what I had for a main course, but I remember clearing my plate. The profiteroles were too die for. We slept like a log. The breakfast in the restaurant was self serve buffet style mainly. But the hot cooked breakfast was ordered and cooked fresh. It was delicious. Overall a fabulous stay. If we ever go back to Fort William that is definitely the hotel we will rebook first."

"The rental was very easy to find. Access was very simple and Nicola was there to great us. The room itself was spotless and very comfortable for 2. The bed was extremely comfortable. We appreciated the fresh fruit, milk, cereal, cookies etc left for us. We were also within 2 minutes walking of numerous restaurants and grocery stores. Would highly recommend this rental. Thanks again Nicola!"

"Lovely refurbished property in Fort William, about 5 blocks from train station. We walked at 70 years old pulling a bag. Hotel has a super clean room with luxury bed linens and towels. Bathroom is spacious. The restaurant is top notch but you need to make reservations for dinner. Beautiful setting and the food is delicious. We had a lovely breakfast. I would highly recommend!"
