No frills but very helpful staff. Room and property were clean. Area around the hotel looks rough but is perfectly safe to walk even in the wee hours.

I was disappointed with the restaurant recommendation given by several staff members of 1865e Palais. It was terrible, a total tourist trap. Dint go there. Perhaps they are receiving a kickback. It was the worst food Ive ever had in France! The staff seems generally unaware of restaurants in Marseille. They should know better. I also mentioned burned out lights in the bathroom but nothing was done. Overall it’s a decent place in a great location. Just don’t take their recommendations.
