A beautiful resort in a quiet location. There wasn’t much to do this time of year. Most places in town closed pretty early. It was a relaxing time nonetheless. Would definitely return. Staff were top notch!

I gave my sister Marianne a birthday present of a 2 night stay at this hotel. Everything would have been fine except for an employee named Scott that was rude to my sister! I ordered a dessert to be delivered on her birthday to her room, it was sour and spoiled. She brought it to Scotts attention and he’s reply to her was “ what do you think the hotel is losing out?” Excuse me Scott but YES the hotel IS losing out by having a rude employee like you! I need you to personally pay for another 2 night stay for my sister , all expenses on you! Shame on you! Go to word stocking shelves somewhere where you don’t deal with the public ! You make me sick ! Lucianna Hatt I’ll be expecting a call ( you have my number) to set up that complementary two nights stay actually make it three nights! Friday, Saturday, Sunday of my sisters choosing. Lastly let me say all the other employees were very gracious .. Scott go bury your head in the sand .. shameful !

Awesome area and beautiful rooms. Very nice lounge! Needs updating for items like power outlets at the nightstands or on the nightstands. Dated clock is not only set 10 minutes fast perhaps to cause guests to rush to check out but also not compatible for power to modern devices. Also two towels is a little light. Four is standard for most large luxury level rooms.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The number of restaurants and the quality of foods were wonderful. Our marina view in the morning was memorable. The bedding was comfortable and high quality.

We were placed where they are doing construction on the indoor pool. Why anybody would place hotel guess where there is construction and you’re woken up to hammering on Saturday AM early in the morning is not appealing to your guests.

For 2 nights stay off season, 1 dinner and 2 breakfasts (which I thought was included), and a closed spa my bill came to $916. Definitely didn't get my bang for my bucks.

This was my second weekend stay here. This visit was as lovely as the first one. The king deluxe room is spacious and extremely comfortable. I love the mattress and the linens and the view the restaurant, and Choo Choo lounge, were terrific both in service, and in food. This time, it was a Swedish massage. Last time it was a facial, and both were superb.

Fantastic waterside location at the point where the Connecticut River meets the Connecticut Sound. Sunrise is spectacular.

Absolutely wonderful rooms with balconies and gorgeous views. Fireplaces with service for logs and firestarting. Great games available for the whole family. Two pools, including an heated outdoor pool that is not to be missed, as well as an excellent jacuzzi. Best of all, it's situated in a fascinating historic area, a nice two mile walk from downtown old Saybrook.

Our room was very nice but showing its age a bit. The restaurant was excellent and the location is fantastic on the water. Our one complaint is that there was a guest on our floor with a dog that would cry and bark when left alone.

We reserved a deluxe waterfront king room The room is gloriously spacious, with a very comfortable king size bed in a separate alcove. After dinner, the staff brought up a fire log which added glorious ambience to the room after dinner.

My husband and I went for an overnight getaway to relax and refresh after a hectic Christmas holiday and they delivered on a perfect experience. The staff was friendly and helpful no matter if we encountered front desk, maintenance or housekeeping staff any where on the premises. The room was large, comfortable, well appointed and decorated in an old New England charming style without appearing old or worn. Our evening was a five star experience from a drink at the Choo Choo Lounge to our dinner at Fresh Salt to a lovely wood fire in our fireplace. We will be back!

I've stayed there several times and I always enjoy my stay. The Inn provides a consistently comfortable experience ....in all ways, from the valet to the front desk as you arrive. Everyone is welcoming/friendly and the entire stay most enjoyable. I highly recommend the Inn & will definitely stay there again if I am in the Old Saybrook area

We had a relaxing stay after Christmas. Our room was in the three stories guest house. It was wonderful. The view was lovely. We went to the spa for two treatments and truly enjoyed the ambiance. We also had a relaxing meal at Salt. The stay was just what we wanted.
