Alderwood lake house Sanford/Orlando near SFB

  • Our lovely home overlooks Lake Ada in Sanford, Florida. This lake is a hidden gem just 10 minutes drive to Sanford International Airport SFB. Cozy and comfortable setting, in the midst of all that Sanford has to offer.

    This comfortable home updated laminate floors, a large master suite with private bathroom. This is a split bedroom plan with the master on the opposite side of the home as the other bedrooms for added privacy. There are two full bathrooms and a nice screened porch overlooking the lake.

    There are two flat screen smart TV's in the home. One in the family room and one in the master bedroom. We have many local channels available via antenna along with Netflix and many other viewing options available through the smart TV. You are also welcome to watch movies that we keep on site.

Home was very clean. Only 4 coffee cups for 6 adults. Missing wash cloths in Master Bath, found then in the hallway linen closet. Had to buy extra toilet paper. Beds were very comfortable.Host was very good in communication. But our guests, including myself felt we were always being watched while outside since he was a few houses down. We are in our late 60's and all have stayed in Vrbo's before. We cleaned and followed the departing instructions as instructed.

We loved our stay here! The home was very comfortable and easy for my Mom (90) to get everywhere she wanted to be. We enjoyed morning coffee, evening cocktails and even caught a few fish from the shady, comfortable dock.The wildlife was cool too....we saw all kinds of critters. There were 2 cranes that loved to look at themselves in the sliding glass door. So funny and entertaining.

Great location for us to stay and attend a wedding at Lake Mary Event Center that is 8 minutes away. Kid friendly and plenty of space for our family of 5. There is a playground one street over that was great for kids to get energy out.

Relaxing Getaway

The home is centrally located to everything you'll need, felt welcoming, and has a great view of Lake Ada. The dock is great to just sit and relax or go fishing. Neighbors are friendly and kind. We stayed 4 nights and already thinking about rebooking later in the year.

Perfect place for our stay!

We came up for a family wedding, location was just 12 minutes away so that was great! The place was perfect for our stay, we made a weekend out of it and drove a short 30 min to blue springs which was amazing! Backyard has a beautiful lake view, we even had dinner out on the dock one night! Host was super accommodating and we had everything we needed. Would stay again if we’re ever back in the area!
