The apartment is part of an old Piedmontese house dating from the late 19th century. It is located in the hamlet of Legro, in Orta San Giulio, a picturesque village, conveniently located for reaching the centre of Orta San Giulio yet far from the summer hustle and bustle of tourists who flock to the small historic centre—which is still easily accessible on foot via a pleasant walk (1,800 metres) or by car. The Sacro Monte of Orta San Giulio, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is 1,500 metres away, as are the municipal beaches. The small train station is right in front of the house, making it convenient for travel, with lines to Domodossola and Novara as well as to major cities. There are several trails and walking routes offering panoramic views of the lake, through the woods, and along nature trails. One example is the path leading to the medieval Buccione watchtower, which overlooks the lake from above.
