"The location is why we chose it. You exit onto one of the major, (mostly) pedestrianised streets with lots of restaurants. Unfortunately there is construction wotk next door which started at 0800 but as there’s no nightlife in Ortigia we were up by then so it wasn’t a problem. It’s hard to find. There’s a buzzer by the door. We had to Whatsapp the owner. It’s on the first floor, up around 20 steps. The interior is very traditional with dark wood. The owner is pleasant. His English is...

"The room was ok, not very big but it had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a thing of nightmares. Horrible, intense stink coming out of the pipes. We weren’t able to use the bathroom.
