"Great staff. Lovely breakfast in room for £5 tray charge (booked room rate with breakfast included). Central location but what let's it down was the loud music blasting all night outside till way after midnight. We were on the fifth floor and it was so loud I couldn't sleep. "

"This was our first visit to the newly refurbished Met and we were not disappointed, as the hotel is very classy and has great amenities. The room was lovely with a choice of biscuits, cans of water, coffee and tea facilities and also a bar of chocolate, which was a nice touch. The bathroom and the decor in the room was very nice and although an unusual layout, due to the position the room was in the building (long and thin, rather than usual squarish of most hotel rooms), this wasn’t an issue as very comfortable, and bright, with very good A/C too. Only disappointing thing was the water pressure in the shower was very poor and could be improved, but didn’t spoil visit. Breakfast was very nice too, with a good choice of hot and continental options. They did have scrambled egg in the hot food section, but you could also ask for fried or poached if you wished. Will definitely visit again in future. "

"Breakfast was great but expensive at £20.00. Great location by the lock. Comfy, large bed. Very clean and staff were super. Gym well stocked but could do with an extra treadmill! "

"When we got to the room the heating was on full and with the hotel being wooden it was like walking into a sauna. The bed was a very springy and you needed to hold tight if your wife was turning over. All in all we wasn’t able to sleep so left at 23:00 to go home. "
