The space
Our shepherd huts are designed with indulgent luxury in mind, you will sleep well, in a king size bed with high thread count cotton sheets covering goose down filled pillows and duvet. "Edie" is a traditionally crafted spacious shepherd hut, designed to draw the outside in to get the most from your glamping experience. She provides an indulgent, romantic escape for two.
When you choose to rise listen to your Roberts radio in your fully equipped kitchen with premium appliances, enjoying breakfast on us with fresh milk, orange juice, cereals and a small loaf of local sour dough, fresh jams and of course a coffee made from your Nespresso.
Located down an old Roman road in an ancient village you will have far reaching views of the Oxfordshire countryside, a few minutes stroll away a fantastic community owned pub awaits, local pint or well earned GnT? Our location has the best of both worlds, your shepherd hut is located in an ancient Roman village in the Oxfordshire countryside, yet just 5 miles from the centre of Oxford with all its history and university colleges. If you choose you can compliment your stay with an indulgent shopping trip to Bicester Village premium outlet (11m) or Blenheim Palace (8m) with all its history and events on offer. Jeremy Clarksons Diddly squat farm (21m) and his new public house have also become popular with our guests. If walking or running is more your focus then why not explore the beautiful RSPB Otmoor bird reserve, a haven for wildlife with many visitor trials to enjoy, it’s merely a short walk away. Whatever your visit has in store our cosy pub, The Abingdon Arms, is waiting only 100metres walk away, offering fine ales and fine dining or perhaps just a take away pizza.
In our “Edie” shepherd hut we DO welcome our furry friends 🐕- but only one well behaved small/medium dog. We do charge an extra £20 paid on arrival to cover extra cleaning costs. Please contact us before booking with your pet details.

Our Shepherds Huts are in our wild meadow next to a Roman road in the Beautiful Village of Beckley, our residence is a stones throw away. You will have complete privacy, but we are of course available at all times if you need us. You arrive on Sand Path to our gated meadow, as you drive through the gate we have one parking place. Leaving the car behind you walk up a slight incline up our stone path to arrive at our luxury shepherds huts. You will be surrounded by countryside and wildlife - deer, rabbits and soaring Kites, and if patient, the resident Barn Owl.
Please note: the Meadow is accessed via an old Roman rd which is an unadopted byway and can be muddy in winter time. However - if you prefer not to use our parking space, on street parking is also available 50m away at the entrance to Sand Path.
Other things to note
Your Scandinavian wood fired hot tub will be pre-prepared for your arrival - it's a fresh water tub so is beautifully free from any types of chemicals - especially chlorine! However, this water can only remain in the tub a maximum of three days, so for longer bookings a change of water will be necessary.
We supply a generous amount of logs for the hot tub and fire pit, as well as kindling and fire lighters. If your really really enjoying them and do require more we do charge £15 to restock the wood store.
We provide a complimentary breakfast to get you started, this includes Cereals, Sourdough loaf, butter, jams, milk, juice and Nespresso coffee pods. You may even come across a little treat or two.
Luxury Dusk towels, two Luxury spa robes and two pairs of Havaianas are provided as well as shampoo, conditioner, body and hand wash.
We do have a local bus services which runs from the village to Oxford (108 service - Oxford bus company) or a 10minute drive to either a park and ride or the closest train station. Alternatively taxis are available at all times.
Our Shepherd Huts are NOT suitable for children or infants.
