"When I arrived and saw the property in person, I left immediately: the room was too small to accommodate a double bed and a dining table at the same time (I would have had to eat outside even on rainy days), so I went camping: the bed wasn't a bed but a camp bed with a sagging mattress, placed next to the entrance door. "Hotel Regina Elena was the perfect place to begin our Sardinia trip. The location was excellent and made it easy to explore Olbia on foot. We could walk to the Old Town, restaurants, shops, cafés, and the port without needing a car. Getting to and from the airport was also very easy by either local bus or taxi, which made our arrival especially convenient. The staff were wonderful — extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was very good. We also really enjoyed the Juliet balcony, which was a fun place to watch the everyday activity and goings-on in Olbia below. The only disappointment was that the tub in our room did not work, which was unfortunate since we had been looking forward to using it. Overall, this was a great place to kick off our vacation. The walkable location, easy airport access, good breakfast, clean room, and very kind staff made it a comfortable and enjoyable introduction to Sardinia."
