You realize this villa has been in the family for 12 generations and all of the magnificent art work and wall and ceiling decoration is newly restored and from the Renaissance. This boutique hotel is absolutely unique. Recently renovated and restored it’s modern and well updated. Yet the charm is its authentic historic feel. The rooms are huge. Ricardo is a perfect host. Il Pozzo, the restaurant on the lower level and also newly renovated, is fantastic. Owned by one of the oldest wine families in the region it pays homage to their deep heritage. The food is likely the best in beautiful Montepulciano. "
